15 minutes of fun in Matara. The ride comes in on the A2 from the south east and goes along the coast, through the outer neighborhoods and finally into town. Matara is a good place to visit with a couple of old forts and numerous temples. The best thing to do is to stay in Mirissa for the beach and restaurants (at the150km mark on the A2) and then take a day trip into Matara to enjoy the sights and sounds.
