    What on earth is the budget for this drum line?

    • @lightningmcqueenfanpage4103
      @lightningmcqueenfanpage4103 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keith Simoneaux basically unlimited, they have sponsors and the school gives them whatever they need. The marching arts are huge in California

    • @andrewchao9164
      @andrewchao9164 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@lightningmcqueenfanpage4103 not really true. A lot of school districts in california including chino hills don't give much budget to music programs. I know that chino hills runs mostly on member donations and sponsorships. Especially with chino hills people view them as rich and like they have too much money on their hands but it's really not true and the same applies to a lot of other schools in the socal area.

    How are these kids trained? Do they have some sort of programs that start in middle school to high school drumline? I came from a high school that had drumline but kids that were in drumline sometimes had no experience at all prior to joining it. I'm wondering, if these kids, including other high schools like Ayala, Dartmouth, etc... have fetus programs that build these kids to monster drummers.

    • @thejuvenoia
      @thejuvenoia 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      +Houston Black Well, you'd still need resources to do something like this. My band is full of talented percussionists, but we have nowhere near the amount of instruments they have, and the ones we do have are in poor condition because they're so old. If we wanted to do something like this, it'd be awful...

    • @africanhustler05

      lost in oblivion I understand that, but you will just have to program your show to your band. You can still put on a good show; It just won't be as grand or elaborate as Chino Hills or other huge programs.

    • @EpicMind500
      @EpicMind500 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's what my school does for marching band. We made it to The State of Texas Marching band Championships without a single prop. All of our percussion instruments are at least 15 years old. Last year one of our marimbas fell apart while rolling it (like legit this thing was like "I'm Done") then it broke. This year the bar on the front of the frame split in half on one of the marimbas (That kid had to carry his cymbal stand the rest of the season). However we don't do WGI we legit don't have an extra gym (our school only has 2 volleyball, and basketball). We also only have like 120 kids in our marching band lol!

The neighboring institutions can work hard...but they don't have money......so our hard work doesn't get glorified like it does here. Chino Hill is awesome, but again...$$$.
