I especally like palpatines reaction to learn eeth Koth became a priest. And why the Jedi deserve extinction for such a role being so close to a jedi. When you compare it to how the Sith were armor clad warriors and gold encrusted tyrants before the rule of two only to become politicans, bakers, historians and scientists. The Sith hid their machinations for milenia while the Jedi can't help but have their true selves shine through whatever guise they take.
That would be a foolish notion to take. There were far more Jedi than Sith shown during the movies and shows. This means that there would be more variety between individuals, including the way they disguise themselves. Besides, if you wanted to talk about simple-minded arrogance, Palpatine and the rest of the Sith are dead now because of such things, the Rule of Two and their huge egos playing significant roles in their downfall. People using your logic scare me sometimes.
Ben Alexander hmmmmm, did I want to talk about simple minded arogance? I don't think I did. I'm not sure what your argument is really. I'm sure a bunch of Jedi had various different ways to going about hiding after the beginning of the purge. But it would seem in canon thEy all got found eventually and killed for it and in legends the few that did manage. Hide could be considered outliers in my opinion. In comparrassion , the rule of two Sith were never found until they wanted to reveal themselves to the Jedi and even then hid right under their noses. Did their order fall in the end yes, but it's not like the Jedi Order flourished much longer in canon. or the Sith didn't come back in a new form in legends. the successful hiding rate between Jedi and Sith seems to be clear to me. The fact that there were far more Jedi meant the Sith could hide much easier and longer and even be more influential while hiding they were more self reliant I think. My apologies for my logic being so spooky though!
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 You may not have intended it, but that is exactly what happened. See, It's not just talking about this battle here. I'm talking about how it fits into the story as a whole. To do that, I will explain what I've observed from old lore (because having multiple directors for your movies makes for excellent lore, right?) and this comic to see their actions here and the effects Jedi and Sith tendencies have in the long run. The two Jedi here knew what they were doing, seeing how they accepted their deaths with relative ease. They took a risk in order to help others. In their (and my) eyes, they were likely acting out of selflessness. Did I just hear you say that the Jedi deserve to lose because they couldn't find two people (that were actively avoiding them) out thousands of planets worth of individuals? That's absurd. I have no other words for that. Not nearly all the Jedi were killed after the Purge, Obi-Wan and Yoda being prime examples. Many died, but many didn't. In fact, they never truly died out, thanks to Luke's new Order. This is completely unlike the Sith, which died out twice. Barring the new canon, which has less than consistent story, one would see that both sides once had massive Orders, with the Jedi utterly annihilating the Sith. It was especially due to the fact that they preferred to spill blood with heavy vibroblades over quick lightsabers like the Jedi used. Their pride was their downfall. The Sith are strong, but they have a self destructive nature. That is why they always lose, regardless od how smart (Palpatine) or how strong (Darth Bane) they are, they pave their own way to destruction. They accept their power through greed, and usually end up with nothing to show for it. I've never liked it when people tried to sympathize with the Sith. They're just so stupid. They destroy so much to get what they want, but in the end they die too, leaving nothing but death and emptiness behind. To me, they are the physical incarnation of wasted efforts. It's a lesson in real life, too. You can have aspirations, but if such aspirations actively hurt others, they might as well be dust.
Ben Alexander huh, interesting observations! Yes I would agree the story of the Sith is interwoven with self destruction. It's even in their philosophy, their wisest minds recognized this fact and those who tried to change it at some capacity failed. I never would have used the word sympathize to describe my feelings for such characters but I certainly find their struggles and triumphs quite interesting I'm part because of their self destructive qualities. Seeing what tragedies or paranoia or personal flaws push them to such malice. The Sith are faced with constant destruction, far more than the Jedi. But i think that makes the the victories more memorable perhaps? Altering ? Influential ? Not sure what the word is i would like to use but I'm sure it's something along those lines. The ways they seem to always come back from oblivion, and how they become different for it is neat to see to. I certainly wouldn't say the Jedi deserved complete destruction for their short sight in not dealing with two Sith. But I think the Sith (rule of two sith) where under their noses for a lot longer and more prevalent them you see, to make it seem like. Sidious and maul visited the council disguised as tourists like it was nothing, I would be suprised if other Sith before even plagueis did similar things to keep close tabs on the Jedi considering their goals to eventually destroy the order. I feel like I'm rambling am I rambling ? Let's see to get to a point, the Jedi were eventually victorious in destroying the Sith (rule of two at least I'm not going to bring up rule of one Sith, Darth lumina & cadeus or even whatever the hell snoke and knights of Ren are suppose to be cause that's a whole new can of worms) but I think a bit of a point for this comic was to show a lot of these clone wars era Jedi didn't do well in the dark, hiding from the galaxy and themselves away from peers. The Sith adapted well to the shadows while they dwelled their and managed well even with their self destructive tendencies, managing to get ahead in the galaxy while being something different. Jedi like Kanan or eeth Koth eventually found themselves in positions they were in before the purge because of an inherent need to help others or be spiritual. Yoda seemed to be aware one could conceal themselves easier with the dark side, like how you can spot a star moreta silt than a black hole (that makes sense right ?) which is why he camped around a dark side nexus on dagobah. Obiwan didn't exactly have the advantage of a dark side out to hide himself but he did that well enough without one. Still finding ways to help the people around him and only really being found by maul and he shut that crap down fast. The Jedis selflessness, wisdom, and heroics will always leave them a place in the galaxy. In this case I feel like most didn't apply their talents in a way that didn't call out to their enemies though.
@Darth Sidious Anakin had 2x more potential as Sirius, und Mustafa he lost 20%...with time he would become still much more powerful than Sidius ...how i said, with time

I like how Palpatine talks about burning the sand like he knows how much Vader hates it.
If it were glass, it wouldn't get everywhere.....so considerate of Palpatine.
Mustafar is basically Tatooine on fire, thus making all the sand glass...
He could also slain some sand people. Not just the men but the women and the children too
