Hello, I have a question, when i'm trying to save my render on Vray getting this message: Error 123 the filename directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect. Do you have a solution for this? Thanks!
I never know the essence of using "match new photo" to model what's in the photo until I saw it 😂 .. Whenever I have something to model from the reference photo, I just always guess the measurement of every important and critical lines of what I am modeling based from the reference photo with the guide of real life measurements, fortunately I always managed to do it and also I already used to it, and also I am not so impressed on what the others do like importing the image and then drawing its faces with lines and then just push pulling it so the photo can have a 3d model. But now, seeing you setting up the lines of perspective of the reference photo, I realized the best reason to try this process as well, great video 😂👍
@@Thesketchupessentials Yup, that's my point, using this process, you can get the proportions accurately 😂 You're the man, I always realized something whenever I watch your videos 😂
Flex Tools is amazing and thank you for sharing it with us. And also a small suggestion for the last part of modeling for the diagonal columns, you could've used the follow me tool. Also, is Sketchup 2020 is better than Sketchup 2018 stability and speed wise?
@@Thesketchupessentials I understand. Thanks for your answer man! Great channel. I am learning a lot from you that I am passing on to my high school students.
Thank you for this video Justin! BTW the random looking structural elements are FlexSlat components too! Here is a short video: th-cam.com/video/kWGTFW2_uvM/w-d-xo.html Actually almost everything in that picture was created with FlexWindow and FlexSlat. :)
@@Thesketchupessentials right, how do I make that not the case, anymore? Having to reset the axis crushes workflow. Is theres a way to set ta global axis for all parts so I dont ever have to reset it.
I really liked it until I saw yet another subscription model. It’s bad enough Subscribing to SketchUp without any real development from their end to then have to pay even more for something like this. If it was a one time fee then iI’d consider it.
Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Flex Tools in the comments below! :)

Great to follow along, seeing some modeling skills in action. Nice inspiration!
missed the sale on flex tools anyway to regenerate that?
Amazing!! Really will save up a lot of time.
Thank you!
:)
Pretty awesome demonstration. Quick question: Is there a default or paid curve tool
someone can recommend?
Like Bezier Spline? th-cam.com/video/A32pIs6Q5xQ/w-d-xo.html

Nope - follow me tool changes the orientation of the base circle so it wouldn't be flat on the ground...
@@Thesketchupessentials Yeah right. Thank you. And also about Sketchup 2018 and 2020 differences?
What are your experiences till now?
When is it ok to use groups around flextools??
It prefers components when possible - not really sure how much this affects how it works
I like it.
:)
I would really like to see you do something in Marvelous Designer for a Sketchup model.
Hmmm...never used that one - I would almost just use cloth in Blender, though I'm not opposed to learning Marvelous Designer at some point

could your sir share FlexTools file please.

How Do I force Sketchup to use only one axis?
I'm sick of having to reset my axis inside of individual components.
I don't understand what this means. Every component has its own axis....

How much does the Flex tool cost
Not sure with the 30% off. It should be at the link
The building looks familiar. Were is the building in real life??
The floating building was inspired by the Unilever building in Rotterdam and the background by Avenida Paulista in Sao Paulo :)
LOL - I just called it the Flex Tools Campus 😂
@@Thesketchupessentials Heh, we're not quite there yet ;)

Your call I guess. I waste so much time modeling doors and windows that it totally makes sense, but different for everyone I guess
