This walkthrough is awesome! Didn't realize how massive the Rave/Eagles Club is until now. Thanks for showing every detail, especially the rooftop bar for the bands! 🤘🎸
Wow, that place is massive ! You're killing me with a those stairs ! The rooftop is a nice chillout area for the bands. Thsnks for another epic adventure @
I live in Milwaukee and the Rave/Eagles Ballroom is pretty much my 2nd home! Been going to concerts there since 1995 when I was 11. I've seen countless shows and bands and for free too (one of the perks of being a musician) I've performed there a few times and also worked there several times since 2002 - I worked on the after-show cleaning crew and can confirm that it's haunted and may still be owned by the mafia (seriously). Live Nation bought a major stake in the venue during the pandemic so the venue wouldn't go out of business and that's why all the bathrooms and bars have been remodeled, as well as the new patio in the front. If anyone has the opportunity to see the pool or the dressing room Pantera destroyed in the mid-90s (which is still intact - NO ONE is allowed to step foot in it - they only open the door for pics) then I highly suggest trying to check them out! 💯
I loved this venue. All things considered, the sound and sight lines were all very good. Even small things like the bathrooms were large, well placed, and never any line-ups (rare for a festival). And super friendly venue staff and security. Another cool video 🤘🤘
I was able to get there because I was press. I was given a VIP pass on Sunday, but that was useless, honestly. Check out my review in a few hours and my very long vlog might upload eventually.
They did a nice job fixing it up... I have been to tons of shows there, always fun. One of the first times I got drunk in public was at an Offspring/Rancid show when I was 16. It was my first time at the Rave too. I knocked a guy's beer out of his hand by accident and tried to give him money for a new one but he laughed at me, went to the bar and came back with two, one of which he gave to me. I think I had six more and then he finally took $20 from me to tip the bartender lol.
Good thing this place is inside. No clogging through mud in case of rain like other places you've been. Not sure it was bad weather but just saying. Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Thanks for a great video! Amazing historic venue, quite cool inside and super fun to explore, especially with a nice buzz. However, one thing is guaranteed: absolutely horrible acoustics. I've been there many times and the only band that sounded great in the Eagles Ballroom was Mastodon when they played with (and blew away) Opeth.
Did you walk all of these steps? I want to know how your legs and knees feel now! Mine are jello.
I did in 1998 when I was 18 and full of energy haha. Brings back memories thanks.
@@RichardWolfe79 you’re so welcome! I’m glad the fest came back!
Over the 3 days I saw 51 Bands on 3 stages. Didn’t think the stairs were too bad. Beats walking half a mile to another stage.

Hey! I'm in this video! Nice walk through tour that I can show folks asking about the layout. Thanks Robb!
Thanks! Yes, please share it.
One of Wisconsin's best venues. Thanks for the tour!
It was my first time there. Hopefully they have me back next year, too. Glad you enjoyed it!
This video is a lifesaver for anyone attending the festival. Thanks for the comprehensive tour!
Thanks so much! I agree. ☝️
Oh wow I've never seen the roof before! Very cool
@@ColieBear18 thanks for watching! It’s cool up there. 👆

Yeah. I’m exhausted! I’m glad I was able to get to that patio! I interviewed a few bands up there, too. My vlog coming up is soooooo long.
Love the walkthrough, I thought about doing one myself but didn’t. Glad someone did! Place is awesome!
Thanks Clint! I appreciate it.

@@Scyber_Official I really want to see the pool and bowling lanes!
Very nice video. Gave a good feel of the place.
Thanks Chris! I thought about doing this on the last day after so many ups and downs. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks. Check out my livestream tomorrow for my thoughts! I’m going to post my band interviews together, too!
Loved seeing the entire venue from basement to rooftop!
Huzzah! 🙌🏼
ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!
Huzzah!
Wow, so many steps! Definitely getting my cardio in at Milwaukee Metal Fest 2024. ✅
For sure. I am exhausted!
❤❤❤ #grungeaesthetic
Yup!
If you're ever back in our little town let me know. Would be honored to buy you lunch
Thanks so much! I surely will!
Only place I didn’t make it too was the penthouse cause I thought you needed a vip pass to go up there. Just had a regular balcony pass

Garfield! She was the MVP of the whole damn festival.
What band was she in?
@@RobbZipp she wasn’t! She was just in the mosh pit for every single band!
I realize that now. Lady in the costume. I’m surprised she didn’t have a heat stroke!🥵
sharing this around
Thanks so much!
0:35 I moshed with that guy 2:11 and Garfield let’s go. 7:12 you can’t forget the five dollar bottles of water as well.
Oh yeah! That lady that was dressed as Garfield! She seemed to have a lot of sweaty ass fun! 🤩
@@RobbZipp I’m pretty sure any of us who were moshing were sweaty mess. Great time though.

The weather there was amazing and would have been great outside. But yeah, being indoors means it won’t get cancelled.
10:48 I see myself. My Sunday legs were trash
My knees are killing me now, too.
9:40 so the seats are open for everyone or they are still vip but just don’t have a rope and you can just sneak up there
I am not 100% sure. I had a photo pass, so I was given free rein to go wherever.
Such a big place! Looks like a theatre in the red light :) What did you enjoy the most on the fest?
I’m going to do a livestream on Tuesday night and then premier my vlog right after that! A few bands totally blew me away!
@@RobbZipp niiice gonna be waiting 😊😊😊

Great tour, now I know exactly what to expect! 🪜🔥

That’s why I made this! Thanks!
