I love my 5 speed sedan. I have lowering springs, exhaust, intake, and I still have a lot more plans for it. It’s been a good car so far and I’ve heard great things about the manual SE.
Only 33 mpg? Get about 40 mpg on a 2016 focus with the manual transmission now 230k miles. Zero problems so far . Not very good in snow and ice . Runs great always starts even below zero days . Put in windshield, new air filters ,plugs, coil packs, new bilsteins shocks ,struts , Steeda after market rear sway bar, battery, brakes ,tires 5 times, oil change every 5k miles coolant change, transmission oil 3 times, brake fluid change, front end alignment . That's all so far.. How much longer will it go? Got an extra alternator and thermostat just in case . They say put in throttle body from 2.3 liter mustang. Run lucus fuel treatment in every tank and motorkote in engine .
@@austinsautomotiveadvice Still have the car one year later 297k miles. Had coolant overflow with crack in it replaced along w/ solid plastic coolant line goes to temp sensor ,top of radiator and coolent overflow..which broke . First real problem I have had. Both should be replaced if you have a focus. Plastic parts don't hold up so well . Car drives and runs wonderful still.
@@halaheleu7013 I bought a used 2013 hatchback in manual with 158k and went to change the oil and its wet with oil underneath. Does yours leak oil? What can be leaking on it? Super cool to hear how many miles yours has! How many miles now 4 months after your comment?
@@bryce_149You need to look where oil is leaking from . Can leak from a number of places like timing chain cover ,valve cover ,oil pan, . Was year ago posted comment car has 314k today . Runs ok.. CAT is Shot won't replace it. Will keep on driving it till it no longer runs . Has been a great car sure will miss it when it's gone.
@@LCdic09 They can be difficult to track down, the ST’s in general are much easier to find. In my mind - these are still a better investment (in reliability, maintenance costs, etc). Thanks for watching!
@@austinsautomotiveadvice Thanks for the reply! I also think it would be a better deal (if I see one). Some people say it's too slow, but I think it's wrong to compare it to a sports car. I drive a 2005 focus wagon at work and it's fast enough and handles well for what it is. A newer manual one should be even better.
Great question. I may make another video, but I still have the car - still have had very little issues. Regularly changing synthetic oil, and checking other items. 169,000 miles currently.
Super reliable car for the money, i love the car,low maintenance, manual transmission is awesome
Absolutely agree!

@@halaheleu7013 That's incredible - all in how you maintain it! Way to be a responsible owner and take care of the Focus!

I really want to test this car with a manual but all I see is the Focus ST or a couple Fiesta ST in my area.

did a nice job, but audio was difficult to hear
I'm looking at the same year, manual 130,000 miles. Asking close to 7k. Still have yours? Problems? Please and thanks
I got one but is sedan SE and yes is manual is 2014 it got 112,345 miles !
Sedans are plenty fun as well! So much better with the manual. Thanks for watching!
I am struggling with Tork, bought exact car a month ago, took was great now struggling to max each gear and can't really get to 80mph
How much was it?
Because I got the Focus during the winter and with over 138,000 miles on it - I was able to get my hatch for under 4,500.
Two year update?

I have the same car. Runs pretty great so far, random problems though as all cars have
