Cassidy you were a Student at Soka University yes? I remember you. This is Tony Houghton the Main Receptionist at Soka for 18 years, the Voice of Soka on the Recording. I remember you very well.. congratulations on an Amazing Interview with Orlando. He is an amazing Blodhissatva. Anthony Houghton.
Orlando is such a sincere and authentic interviewee...considering he's one of Hollywood's biggest stars.and married to Katy Perry..on this platform he shows his vulnerable and truthful self. I just loved the way he recounted his meeting with Sensei Ikeda...it was awesome. Loved Cassidy's questions, too. She is a natural. 💜💜💜💜
I just loved the interview, I'm an SGI member from Venezuela and have contact with this practice is the most valuable gift Im received so listen the experience of a movie star like Orlsndo Bloom is great, I hope that reach the heart of many people
Be diligent in developing your faith until the last moment of your life. Otherwise you will have regrets. For example, the journey from Kamakura to Kyoto takes twelve days. If you travel for eleven but stop with only one day remaining, how can you admire the moon over the capital? -“Letter to Niike,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 1027
I loved this Interview so much ! I even showed to my 9 year old daughter born in this Buddhism that is a huge fan of Orlando because of The Lord of The Rings! I practice this Buddhism for 10 years 🎉🎉🎉 couldn’t be Happier 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank You So Much ❤
Thank you Orlando so much! I am very moved by your mentor/disciple connection….it really is the way to absolute happiness 💯 & making all our dreams come true….thank you Cassidy…..👏🏻👏🏻🤍 awesome interview
I enjoyed this interview so much and I was smiling ear to ear hearing Orlando's story of meeting Sensei. Thank you for sharing and loved it so much to hear people's stories of meeting Sensei and also about this practice. Cheers!
Simply Inspiring. Hmn, I’m gonna say it… I always wondered if Orlando was a dibbler and dabbler in Buddhism or a member that really puts the practice to daily use. From watching this video, it’s clear that Buddhism is a foundational practice for him. I really appreciate Orlando’s authenticity and his sharing of personal challenges, whether they be in career or family. - About his new show - “To The Edge” and challenging personal fear. Experiencing FEAR can be awful. The discussion of how Buddhism helps us to see ourselves more clearly and overcome our fears to become happy was inspiring. It is easy to think that somebody in the limelight such as Orlando has an easy life or is given every opportunity without any difficulty. This is clearly far from the truth. Orlando discusses using his Buddhist faith as his foundation and “roadmap” to successful, thriving Life.Great stuff. As a visual artist and a Buddhist, it’s refreshing to see through the eyes of another Buddhist creator. Thank you for sharing Orlando, thank you Cassidy.
I love your podcast I watch the short videos about his faith and use to shakabuku. Would love to meet him one day. I have been chanting since 2009 in South Africa. Goin for 1 million daimoku challenge from October to Dec this year
He practices everyday. Powerfully. Can’t you sense that? He introduced his family! That is not easy! And meeting Sensei-life force is needed! You don’t get that with a vacillating practice. No way!
@@zenzekezenard4269Design the amount of time you think you’ll need around your life’s daily rhythm. If you want to chant 30-60 minutes of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo each day, allot that much time in the morning or evening, whichever is comfortable with your schedule. Gongyo (the two chapters of the Lotus Sutra) would be about 5 minutes and can be added eventually.
Congratulations on the interview. Some feedback from a listeners point of view... I would've found it more enjoyable to listen to the interviewee speak without hearing the affirming sounds made by the interviewer. I felt that interrupted listening to his experience. I didn't watch the entire interview because it felt weird.
Your advice at the conclusion of the show was very useful, Orlando. Thank you and thank you, Cassie, for taking the time to prepare and present this interview for us. I have already shared it.

Hi Cassidy ❤🎉Greetings from north Italy
Hi Cassidy, what light was Orlando referring to, that he add the light at or during his chanting? Thanks
Can we get Japanese subtitles on this video? I want to show my family but they don’t understand English.
❤
🎉❤
Excellente! Is he still chanting in a dedicated way? Every day? Or does he dip in and out of this practice?
He practices everyday. Powerfully. Can’t you sense that? He introduced his family! That is not easy!

@@MADHAUSMARKALLAN Thanks! How many hours you chant every day? I have not done it for years.
Orlando is all in. I have been to district discussion meetings he attends.

He aged big time but glad he’s turned to Buddhism
Well, everyone ages. It’s our great fortune to do so.
…yes Orlando has been practicing Nichiren Buddhism with SGI since his late teens. He’s now 47.
At 47, I’d say he looks fantastic.

You missed an amazing interview
I think Cassidy does a great job in moving the dialogue along and in affirming important points. It is not an easy thing to do!!!😅
I like her interview style. She engages with her guests. It was a great interview.

I would be a little more shocked if somebody broke there back at least I’m not the only one nobody cares about
