Bit late considering AJW has brought out a new video that basically shows that he's disingenuous and a liar, with his own timestamps! One of the few times I find myself agreeing with Destiny when he calls out bad faith shitheads like Sean.
@@swingingfordearlife If your business model involves catering to people you ADMIT grift to their audience, and you insist on running cover for them when they flagrantly lie in debates you host, HOW CAN YOU BE GENUINE? Which part of this video is Connor accepting that he shouldn't be catering to said people? Oh you mean it's just him making excuses for his poor decisions and at no point does he address or acknowledging not engaging in said behaviors? And all of that is downstream from him RUNNING COVER for someone that was lying in a debate? Sure buddy, my opinion is invalid and made externally from Connor's actions.
@@mcscruffles80 Are you trying to defend Connor or Gift Warrior? Connor admits that the people he caters to are grifters but does nothing to reconcile his behavior with this but justifies said behavior from said grifters. Grift Warrior in his infinite Anti-Blackness accused a Bragg, a Black DA of running on a "fishing expedition". In his quest to 'defend' said actions he proved that neither Bragg nor James where fishing but made 2 videos trying to justify making said claim. However, in both videos he strawmans his own position after presenting evidence to the contrary instead of walking the claim back because he knows his audience is going to take his word.
Always glad to see you and Destiny chatting. Would love to see you occupy that same “space” but on the right. We need more people who are willing to reach out and fight with all sides
I think you and Destiny use "rethorical" differently. What I take from Destinys reaction is that he considers rethoric (in colloquial use) and factual to be opposites, thus a rethorical argument would be something used in lieu of a factual argument (i.e. only ethos or pathos). You'd seem to have a slightly broader definition, understanding it to more or less mean "convincing", regardless if it appeals to logos, ethos or pathos.
I actually feel like they’re using it the same way (they agree “sheer rhetoric” distinguishes itself by a lack of substance, despite facets of rhetoric being based around it) but in general yeah- Destiny has said this numerous times and the premise itself seems to be a semantical misunderstanding; though even given the way Connor used it, maybe Destiny would genuinely believe his reasoning skills are a weak point? And that he’s inherently bad/is substantially weaker at/on sophistry, defeasible and analogical arguments, or induction, abduction and deduction? Which sounds silly to me. I think specifically he feels like his ability to establish a narrative needs more work than other areas, and that his research alone isn’t persuasive, but him just throwing out the word rhetoric sounds clunky and awkward in conversation.
Destiny would be the first person to claim someone is a coward for not taking a position, he's such a slimball, he will give you advice, claim he'll do one thing, in a certain situation, then do the exact opposite.
I love him saying “ principled Libertarians “ and “15% MAGA”. Back in 1928,the Nazis won a grand total of 2.8% of the vote. The onset of the depression caused this to sky rocket to 18% in the 1930 election. It didn’t take much and nothing fixes unemployment like a bunch of Wars! Conor is not as horrible as Lauren or Rob. I subscribed to his channel back in 2015 and I recall a Manifesto he had about Centrism and believing in the idea of a common value system/beliefs as the glue holding this all together and how most “corp Dems” would mock all that and I can get onboard with that even though I’m a Dem Socialist but after listening to him here with the Dictatorship with guns being better than Democracy without I really have to think on that one. I just don’t agree with certain in people’s constant reference to “ fighting tyranny” being the main reason for the 2nd Amendment …..I think it’s 1 out of about 20 reasons for it and not the most important Since I’m a city boy I’ve nffsr had the need for weapons but having 3/4 family members who are LEO’s I get it. So every citizen having a shotgun at age 18 with a “clean record” and handgun after they have been trained is fine by me….. after those 2 weapons I’m gonna expect way more training for folks to have AR15 type stuff. The other things he said on allowing blatant liars on bc then if he calls them out they won’t come back on is crazy and that’s what network TV does constantly.
Nah, fam. I’m about as far left as one can go and my impression of Conor is that he’s trying to occupy the same space as Destiny (albeit not as hot) but on the right. In the sense that he’s trying to have honest grounded political dialogue based on data. He seems extremely good faith and sincere, to me
Destiny is full of shit about Bragg. He makes fun of the idea that Trump isn't guilty if incitement because he didn't explicity state that was what he was doing, but then turns around and demands that standard for Bragg. He can't have both. If he thinks he can infer Trump's motivation from his behavior, the same applies to Bragg.
“The right to bear arms is more important to American culture and values than the right to vote.” You’re lost in the sauce bud, the right to vote is infinitely more important to America than the relatively modern idea that the second amendment guarantees an individual the right to infinite weaponry.

It's be fun to see you talk with Sean on crime, immigration or just this drama. As to wellfare and helping people in order to fight crime, Sean is not against this - but he opposes that as THE way out of heavy crime. Particularly the suicidal empathy pushed by democrats in democratic cities where they keep letting out or not properly punnishing offenders leading to further spiraling in crime. Watching his video after his car got stolen should be illuminating. He's not opposed to incentivising people to leave a life of crime or turning away from criminal activity, or rehabilitation. I presume you do not actually think he's "inhumane" and was rather making a point.

I've lost a ton of respect for Connor because of his absolutely unhinged perspective on preferring to live in a gun loving dictatorship than a liberal democracy with more restrictive gun laws. Limit voting but allow virtually unlimited access to firearms?!? Principled conservative my arse. GTFOH 🤡
From an outsiders point of view it's so freaking weird. The insane mental hoops people like him are prepared to jump through to justify their firearm fetishisation is beyond absurd.
@@counterfireaway it might have been because I used the phrase "firearm fet***isation". Destiny saying ' my rhetoric is bad' feels like a rhetorical strategy in itself hahah. Like bro, we know its good, you know its good. To be fair, i dont think destiny is a liar. I think he has huge biases.
When he says his rhetoric is bad he means sort of innately. He doesn’t need to “work” on his ability to research and compile information and utilize that information, but he’s spent most of his streaming career and specifically the last 3 years being less asd and more narrative driven, while also actually pressing people on their positions instead of letting them weasel or having a frustration meltdown. I’d sort of disagree with it but when I hear this brought up it’s usually a misunderstanding of the phrasing (though arguably he misunderstands what rhetoric means).
