Hi I am very late to the party, but thanks for your honest opinion regarding this iron dummy. I was in the market for a wooden dummy recently and I am now just seeing this video recommended to me by TH-cam analytics. I have decided to go with a custom made Muk Jong from a reputable and skilled craftsman with over 30 years experience, right here in the USA. I already had considered this dummy after seeing it on Amazon, but saw another video here on TH-cam where the content provider talked about how the metal arm holes cut deep grooves into the wooden arms and also how badly the varnish and paint on the arms and legs chip and flake off with use. One thing I was confused with is that you said that the height of the dummy was off for you since the arms were in line with your shoulder when in a Yee Gee Kim Yeung Ma stance. I was always taught that is exactly what you want, the correct measurement is to be in a proper Wing Chun stance and have the arms at your shoulder height. I thought that was the universal measurement for all Yip Man lineage schools.
Since Lian Padukan was derived from buah pukul Mersing in the 1970s, a period when Wing Chun was reaching the height of its popularity, it's more accurate to say Lian Padukan looks very similar to Wing Chun.

Hi, did the company make improvements to the iron dummy?
Can it stand on a carpeted floor
No. It needs a smooth surface for the suction cups.
How has it kept up over the years?
The body and posts are good. Some of the suction cups have failed and I haven't taken the trouble to replace them. Otherwise, it's good.
What about carpet
I'm 6'1 is this a good hight 4 me
Great review.
Thank you.
How tall are you exactly?
Average height, exactly.
@@WingChunHall 😂😂
