Minute 41: one of the red army soldiers who stormed the Reichstag was a Russian Jew who’d planned, taken part in and survived the revolt at Sobibor death camp.
Jasenovac concentration camp , in fact the complex of 40 concentration camps in WWII Croatia was far worse that Auschwitz. There were 57 ways of killing more then 800000 Serbs, 50000 Jews and 30000 Gypsies without using guns. There was also one camp Jastrebarsko just for children from babies onward- 20000 of them died in most horrible ways. Catholic priest from Croatia as well as ustashas were also directly involved in slaughtering. That is why this is still in domain of " Forbidden history".
It's hard to imagine what it was like to go through this form of life situation. It's a reminder to me of how go I really have it and how greatful I should be.
Fast forward the film to the last minute or so & then let it play to the end. Once it stops hit replay & the film will play again without any adds. Your Welcome.
Most of the film shown about WW2 has been done over and over. How many time's can you show the same footage. Surely there must be tons of film that hasn't been shown to the public. Laziness, to much bother looking and putting together new stuff. I know how this is going to play out, repeats. 😱☘️
Please try to have a little respect. Those poor souls saw & experienced horrors no one ever should. No matter how many times you’ve seen it, for those people, it’s the last days or moments they ever knew. I cannot imagine what it was like for them. To be utterly defenseless to protect your children, loved ones, yourself. 😢
There's not as much film footage you think there is. There was limited access to cameras at the time. Because: A) They were expensive AF. Only the rich could afford a private cini-camera. & the world had been in a global depression for a decade before WWII. B) Most of what little film that there was that was avaliable. Was being used for the war efforts back home. C) The old cini-cameras were seriously *HEAVY* & not easy to lug about in a war zone. & D) The troops were a little more preoccupied with finishing the war. So they could go home than filming it for your entertainment 80 years later.

The amount of Ads during this show is an atrocity in itself!

Just because everyone has a camera today, it wasn’t like that 80 years ago. I’m surprised you didn’t recognize that fact.
