Pain was a great villain. He represented the little villages that suffered because of the large countries senseless fighting. He showed Naruto that peace isn't something that could be reached by simply defeating your enemy since their doing the same thing, making both sides the bad guy. He's completely different from Madara, Obito, Sasuke and Kabuto who were just dragging everyone else into their suffering because they were only thinking about what they lost.
I mean Pain was doing EXACTLY what madara, obito, sasuke, and kabuto were doing as you said from you're second paragraph. I have NO idea why you're acting like it was any different because that's why ALL villains do. Wreck havoc. It's not a bad thing at all but you can't act like pain was any real different from all the other villains as pain was dragging everyone else into his suffering as well, that was the whole point of his plan, to everyone feel the same pain as he does. That's what ALL villains do.
Mine too because it was the first time where Naruto was really a badass who was way stronger than the enemy who was owning all of his friends. Kind of how Goku was with Nappa.

Black Clover in particular has done an exceptional job with its female characters: they get just as much screentime, development and moments to be badass as the male characters. The nostalgia of the lyrics always stays in my head, those are the good times where the joy of laughing cheerfully is still there, from 2006, now only the emotions of revenge and loneliness are left, naruto is the best looking at it, many years of good memories
I felt this one...very strongly. Instead of being dark like the previous opening, it just felt very sad. It’s a very beautiful song, and gives off a sad emotional vibe, which undoubtedly fits the visual choices. Seeing the Ame orphans’ past and opening up with Jiraiya writing his next book in the heavens was already gut wrenching. Epic ending as well, with Naruto and Pain’s climactic showdown. This and Sign were top tier incredible.

As an anime fan i confirm naruto shipudden is the only anime that has amazing opening...listening toh it after 4 year brings back all the feelings i experienced while watching it for the first time!
Kishimoto said this was supposed to be where everything ended.. hints the character deaths.. Taka, Tobi & Zetsu all headed for the leaf.. Might Guy/Team 3 was headed back to village for the big 8 Gates Showcase.. The village being destroyed.. etc. You can tell Kishi but his heart and soul into this arc but the company forced him to stretch it out to more arcs so it slowly took a turn that not everyone noticed. By far the best arc of the whole series. Kakashi stood on all ten against Pain & the way Naruto found out about Kakashi was lowkey soul crushing and written perfectly. Kishi sometimes sets up his fights with opening music videos, it shows Sakura, Ino & Ten Ten going at Konan that got scrapped because the company. Credit to where it’s due tho this arc was fire and l Pain was so perfect.. him saying it’s an honor to fight Kakashi and that speech he gave Naruto was on point for his character

Kishimoto said this was supposed to be where everything ended.. hints the character deaths.. Taka, Tobi & Zetsu all headed for the leaf.. Might Guy/Team 3 was headed back to village for the big 8 Gates Showcase.. The village being destroyed.. etc. You can tell Kishi but his heart and soul into this arc but the company forced him to stretch it out to more arcs so it slowly took a turn that not everyone noticed. By far the best arc of the whole series. Kakashi stood on all ten against Pain & the way Naruto found out about Kakashi was lowkey soul crushing and written perfectly. Kishi sometimes sets up his fights with opening music videos, it shows Sakura, Ino & Ten Ten going at Konan that got scrapped because the company. Credit to where it’s due tho this arc was fire and l Pain was so perfect.. him saying it’s an honor to fight Kakashi and that speech he gave Naruto was on point for his character
@andrizzle5887 I'm not at all surprised they made him continue, because Naruto was arguebly the most popular Anime in the whole world and its popularity was growing even faster at that point.

i miss being a kid back in 2009/2010 waiting for the day this arc would finally happen. I was not disappointed either
