Karts in VR and with a wheel are great fun and kind of make more sense. It's great being right close to the road surface with them.
I used to have this problem. I moved my controller sensitivity up a few clicks. Good to go now.

i had a kart race irl last sunday, and it was annoying AF. Practice: not on the pace. Quali: qualified 7th out of 9, but i got to start last anyway cuz i'm a rookie. Heat 1: in swedish karting you have a front fairing that sits loose and gets pushed in when you hit someone (that way the stewards can see if you should get a penalty or not), and i got brake checked on the formation lap and got a penalty (#bs). Heat 2: brake checked on formation lap again (by the same person). Final: had a lap 1 tangle where i had my nose in and the guy in front turned in like if i was not there and spun us both.
Well that was enjoyable to watch! Tries the carts with a wheel and so hard to control. Well done :-).

Logang susnik You get used to it once your pushing these speeds constantly in karting/practicing/races. I’m pushing 70-75MPH top with a 100cc while racing competitively. Being dedicated and racing in a kart all the time will definitely help.

Lower the turn sensitivity on your controller for karts, it's all down to settings.
The twitchness should be way less of an issue.

I wish they made a full realistic kart game with some indoor and outdoor tracks. And also have the option for some kind of championship. The kart games that are available now on ps4 are pretty bad and outdated.

In karts, you don't correct oversteer. You steer with the throttle and hold the slide.
3:25 The front end geometry of a kart is designed (mainly through the castor angle) to lift the inside rear wheel when cornering, as karts have no differential they would just push on (understeer) without said geometry. ;)

And yes, the sliding of the Karts reminds me of how Forza 7 cars drive around kerbs.

Love the 125 shifters on GT sport, I play this game solely for the karting fun online, I play ACC for the GT racing and F1 and iRacing for F1 etc....I transition between these games daily.
in real life these shifter karts can reach speeds of 150+mph maybe even 170 (normal racing karts go about 70-80mph) and are the fastest things around a corner aside from a f3 f2 or f1 car
Also, it'd be hilarious if you could do a John Oliver-esque outburst once in a while, like "NO NUMBER ELEVEN! YOU CAN'T DO THAT! NO!".
I hate how everyone always complains about Shifter Karts. Sure, penalties are BS, and they're nothing like they were on GT6, but Shifter Karts really aren't that bad, and the gap between wheels and controllers is almost non-existent. You could be running a lot faster laps, though. The next time one comes up in the daily races, set TCS to 1 and CSA on Low, and I can almost guarantee you'll start running 47's.
I read a comment from somebody in a section of another vid of yours saying that the GT franchise is killed.

Gts have the man leaning into a corner. When karting you relax by leaning out to lift the rear wheel to carry speed and help oversteer and countersteer. I'll have to give them ago and check that. Well done for first attempt 😊👍

Advice : Drive the karts using the cockpit view, it's better for controlling them.
Oversteer is always best corrected by letting completely off the throttle and opposite steering until the rear end of the car aligns with the front. More throttle throws you into more oversteer especially in RWD vehicles.
Amazing that gran turismo prides itself on its simulation but still makes the driver lean into corners on a go kart. This is a good way to lose speed in corners as the tires experiencing the most grip have reduced weight on them due to you leaning in. Rookie error.
honestly tried the drinking game while playing gt,
in a 20 minute window not only was i smashed, but i was the most hated person on gt sport for 2 hours and lowered my DR and SR down to an all time low,
I play Xbox now but when I played gt6 I loved the Kart racing, just had to find a video too see if they still had it in gt sport
