*"not supposed to be a fair fight."* Never let the occupier even *THINK* for one second further conquests await or in the alternative in the same way make the occupier *THINK* there are only paths of defeat. Cut off all avenues of approach and presumably the *"answer"* to that would be to wait on orders. No military functions correctly when waiting around so yes hitting the opposition with an absolute *WAVE* of airpower that physically "darkens the skies" as happened to Germany and to a lesser extent Japan in World War 2 this of course ahem *"depresses the situation"* ahem. The most simple expression I can think of anyways is Operation Linebacker efforts by the USA during the Vietnam War where bombing was done without let up 24 7 for *WEEKS.* Since Ukraine has laid out masterfully in my view a goal of "buffer zone" just pound and pound and *POUND AWAY* and see if the occupier decides to comply. this cannot be done with fighter aircraft in a "typical" role but yes as broad of a broad based effort but directed at a particular point where the offensive is most active from the enemy which apparently is somewhere just West of Donetsk City *"NO LET UP"* drones, fighter planes, infantry, mortar teams, artillery...7 Days straight non stop the moar targeted the better. Displays of force, continuous radio traffic, random loud music then soft music but *NO SLEEP FOR THEM* whatever be creatively employed. Then just stop. If they now suddenly appreciate the silence *WUNDERBAR!* but yeah try different languages my personal favorite is the baby crying that's a universal language start throwing poopie and pee to stink up everything launch packets of refried beans "gently used" and see who can lay claim to our fragile human mind space...never forget the happy ending either no one likes that! Think of toon town in Who Framed Roger Rabbit 😊

With a 1939 population of about (only) eleven million people, Canada suffered over 45,000 deaths in defending freedom in WWII, and later became a founding member of NATO. It's sad to see Canada's spine now crumbling along with NATO's, as it struts around suffering no human loss at all against Russian invaders but only some equipment. Canada also fails to keep its 2% of GDP promise to the military, and delays keeping even the promises it's made to Ukraine in order to placate the domestic population. This is what happens when you put politics ahead of principle. People get hurt. We need some western leadership, and all we've got are "leaders" talking about "commitment" but in fact being counseled solely by their fears.

@@allydeaYes, but it could also be said that more people suffer of hunger as a result of the war in Ukraine. If Russia is allowed to achieve its aims, it will control an even greater proportion of the world's wheat, sunflower oil and corn harvest. The Russians' move to block Ukrainian food exports earlier in the war shows their willingness to weaponize hunger. It's possible to fight for self-determination and against world hunger at the same time. Slava Ukraini!

I agree with General (Ret) Breedlove, if NATO has been improving since 2014. I have two questions for our government, 1) we’ve spent 10 years trying to get ready, how many more years is it going to take. 2) is Ukraine being allowed to suffer alone because we’re not ready.

You might not want war but war will come regardless based on the actions leaders take now. It will be much worse and much more expensive and we will be in a much weaker position because we didn't prepare. The average voter doesn't know about these things. They only care about their immediate needs. It's the job of leaders to explain and lead not to be led by focus groups or popular opinion.

Cool guy. Americans tend to forget, that the F16s come from northern european countries like the Netherlands and Denmark and the training also started there. Not from the USA. These planes were not surplus or reserves. They had to wait till they transited to the F35… Reasonable surplus in Europe would be the Tornado and Mirage. But there the time that they can be used is shorter than that of the F16, which is US surplus. Not to forget the training on so many different types…

    History rhymes,
From what General Breedlove said, I reason that NATO was appeasing russia federation like how allied powers appeased the axis until it was too late, though this time 2022-present it is not too late. By no longer rewarding russia federation's expansionism into Georgia and Ukraine with peace through reasoning with readiness and NATO finally getting shocked into preparedness in 2022 to pressure russia federation. How is the pressure going to work? General Breedlove it will be up to the law makers because they are the ones who pass what contributes into a nation's capabilities

NATO is all talk. How will Ukraine recover its occupied lands. Even Zelensky is talking about a just peace but not taking those lands back. Russia still has 5-10:1 artillery power over Ukraine, more planes and air defense equipment. I am sure at high levels some kind of bargaining and threats going on. I feel bad for Ukraine and all the lives lost.

3:43 A neutral Swiss report, commissioned by the EU, has established that Georgia started the war 2008.
4:35 Since 2022, the defense capabilities of European NATO countries have decreased substantially, due to support of Ukraine. For example, today Germany's first IRIS-T system has been put into service, while several have been delivered to Ukraine. The number of Patriot systems in Germany and other countries has decreased.
