Brief history: Relaxing with a cuppa tea and an Argos catalogue while circling things we were probably never gonna get was a favourite British pastime - especially for kids. In July 2020, the nation mourned when Argos stopped printing their much-loved shopping catalogue after 47 years, 93 editions and more than one billion copies. Dubbed the ‘Book of Dreams’ by Bill Bailey, it was the end of an era. It was more than an iconic book, it was rad and so we celebrate and pay homage to our favourite vintage years in That Was Rad’s retro Argos catalogue series.

I would've only been 2 at the time, but I sorta remember having a lot of these when I was 7. I guess they can't be the same versions? I'm gonna spam as I watch lol. (Well, maybe not spam)
43:47 I recognize a few of those, I think 1 and 4 might've been my brother and sisters keyboard maybe.
44:08 my brother owned 8, we'd watch WCW in our room lol. I'd never even heard of it, I was amazed at all the WWF stars there :P 9 looks familiar too actually, I'm fairly certain we had one of the stereos on the next page too but I can't say I paid much attention to those, I guess they all had the same style?

Transformers and Thundercats for sure. Dang that gun (4) at 56:56, we had two of those, I was playing with them the other day when dismantling one of our sheds lol, they were cool! Mask were awesome too, I'm pretty sure we got those from Woolies though.

Totally some Thomas stuff on the next page, but definitely the weird animal keyboard thing (11) and the teapot, also from a charity shop :D
I don't know who had it but Mr Frosty at 1:04:29, maybe my sister. Everyone I knew had an etch-a-sketch lol. Subbuteo even though I hated football. Maybe one of the tents and the boxing thing too actually lol.
