Thanks for bringing us another interesting angle on collecting. Bentley provenance certainly adds wow factor for me, the fame and expertise involved in the collection and to have a slice of it. It gives the coin an additional personality and it adds to the genuine nature of a coin that many fear could be copied these days. I am sure the owner will treasure the coin with its extra dimension that imo means more than grade.

Love that 1928 Peace dollar ... Numismedia Fair Market Value is $462 (US). As far as I know they top out at about MS66 and that has a FMV of $33,130 (US). Great video, as always!!! I recently purchased a silver proof version John Wick coin that had a total montage of 100. In your opinion would that be a coin worth grading? If I would do you keep all the packaging even after getting it slabbed?
I can't tell the difference between a PF69 and PF70 excepting the price. So I purposely bought the 1989 half, full and double sovereigns in PF69DCAM and saved a packet.
American silver dollars of any type in good condition are worth grading because so many of them have been cleaned or counterfeited. They are the most collected pure numismatic coin in the world.
I bought an 1869 and thought it looked more yellowish than normal and I thought it was a fake, however it turned out to be die number 34 which was struck in normal, yellow and red gold, the latter two being more rare than normal. So its always useful to check when things look fishy.

A 1928 Peace Dollar is rare indeed. That infact is the rarest of all Peace dollars. :^)

The 1928 Peace Dollar, raw, in that condition, will go for easily $500. It's the key date in the series.
