In high school back in the 1960s I took an interior design class. There was only one other boy in the class. I got more than an education in interior design. Even though I had five sisters, I never heard a group of girls express themselves so frankly. They were just out there with it. That is what Sarah reminds me of.
My wife never wears makeup and rarely has, and after 30 years she’s as beautiful as the day we married. ❤❤❤
I maintain that makeup is just not good for your skin, generally speaking.

Mmmh, I can't really eat that. With family there's deep and serious obligation, as a child there's explicit legal control over your legacy, there's supposed to be thr pinnacle of inherent interpersonal trust, and there's usually some degree of deep familiar love under and intrinsically intertwined within the relationships where that abuse occurs. These are some of the major reasons why family abuse and the trauma of it tend to dig in a lot deeper emotionally, psychologically and intimately, and take a lot more time and work to properly process.
By this I certainly do not suggest bullying and abuse at school can't get increasingly severe and traumatizing; It's been decades since I finished school and I still know and remember that far more intimately than I care to. IMO what makes family abuse potentially so much worse, is what those incredibly essential relationships _are *supposed"_ to be and provide, which most whom experience this have no ability or opportunity to seek a safe and healthy substitution for.
I really hope she did send Lynn the dvd.

What is rickets?
I used to wear a bit of make up when going out to nightclubs as a teen and in my early 20's.
Most of the time, however, it was pointless. Make up doesn't suit a career in gardening (I've seen girls try, but it really doesn't. We didn't have so much waterproof make up back then, and a quick rain shower would soon turn you into Alice Cooper).
Once I'd grown out of my nightclub stage, I didn't bother with make up at all, because I wanted a man who wanted me as I am, and not a mask.
And I'm still married to him after 30 years (his was the 5th marriage proposal, so that was 4 others who weren't worried about make up, and one of them was a millionaire at a time when it meant something. So, not all men are shallow and only interested in beauty.
The pressure to ratchet your hair back, coat yourself in orange boot polish, and paint a pair of man brows above your eyes is all over the internet right now. Honestly, we'd have laughed at anyone like that in the 80's.

I quit wearing makeup at age 45. I let my hair go silver...yes, silver. I let the natural curl have free rein. My grandchildren love that I look like a grandma. I've got extra money to spend on my family because I don't have to support the cosmetic industry anymore.

The comedy is there. People are laughing because they identify with her. I can't say I laughed out loud, but I did smile to myself. You just find the swearing objectionable. Most people in Britain swear a lot. It's not the greatest habit but as the yanks say...it is what it is. She's just being herself.
