Really? That's a VA staple. Most women can perform young boy voices really well. Romi also has a deep tomboyish/mature voice she use for a lot of her characters. Temari is great example
Monty2289 Compared to Vic’s voice she sounds a bit too high-pitched and feminine for me. I mean when I hear her voice when Edward’s talking to Winry for example, I still hear a girl voicing a guy. Sure Vic’s voice makes Edward sound a bit mature for his age, but I guess that makes sense for Ed’s character since he’s incredibly smart and talented and is considered to be a prodigy. Vic Mignogna and Romi Park both have their shortcomings, but they’re both still incredibly talented in their performances as Edward Elric that I’m able to look past their drawbacks and appreciate the amount of emotion they put into their performances. I think Romi still gave an amazing performance, but I just prefer Vic since his voice is the one I’m more used to.
Zack Brangen Gon is still only 12 years old, so since he’s a cheerful young boy it makes more sense that his voice is more upbeat and high-pitched. The actress who voiced him Megumi Han did an excellent job. I also don’t like Goku’s Japanese voice, if he were still a kid I’d buy into it, but as an adult his voice sounds way too high pitched and I hear his voice cracking at times. Sean Schemmel’s voice suits him better as an adult.
