I didn't know that you guys knew Anders...damn I'm envious. I'm a fan of Draconian since 99. This band litteraly saved my life a couple times, in really dark periods of my life. If I'm not mistaken, he's there from the beggening, if so, tell him thank you from a stranger who owes him his life :) Oh and I don't know who wrote Death Come Near Me, but this song and The Cry Of Silence are both my favorites. Fun to hear how people have this different appreciation for songs from the same band and album. My favorite of the three was the first single "Lustrous heart". It reminded me more of the old Draconian albums, but all three are really awesome
All songs are fantastic to me but I happen to listen to "The Sethian", "Sorrow of Sophia" and "The Sacrificial Flame" the most. Whole album feels like a golden jevel. Varied guitars, echoing drums, exquisite vocal duality and complex lyrics ( the whole album is telling about the Gnostic cosmogony, I highly recommend anybody to dig in to books like "Pistis Sophia", "Gospel of Mary Magdalene " "Three Stales of Seth"- you will get All the references on the lyrics once you read them). I very rarely rate something 10/10 but it is that case when I can sense something deeply spiritual upon listening to. Perfection
Would you guys check out a very special band called Urfaust? They are basically psychedelic lo-fi black magic with hints of black metal :D. My recommendations would be either "meditatum 2" for more of a metal experience, "vodoo dust" or "Trail of conscience of the dead" for a psychedelic trip edit: Also turns out there is no urfaust reaction on youtube yet, even though they have 20k monthly listeners on spotify

Heike Langhans from Draconian is in another atmospheric doom metal band called Light Field Reverie (with Mike Lamb and Scotty Lodge from the band Sojourner) very similar to Ison (another band with Heike and Daniel Änghede from Crippled Black Phoenix) and they released some days ago a new song from their first upcomming album "Another World" who's called The Oldest House, if you could react to this (or just listen to it in private) it would be awesome !
