Activepieces: Trigger workflow from video upload (open source Zapier alternative)

Hi everyone, Brendan back with another tool to save you time and money: Activepieces. I bet you are sick of doing the same tasks over and over....
If you ever used Zapier or Pabbly to connect different pieces of your business together, Activepieces will be familiar, and it can also be self hosted on your own VPS at no additional cost. In this video, I use below 500 tasks a month to do a few different automations: Voice memo to email/text, Long-form blog post with chatGPT and looping, and a flow that starts with a video uploaded to my TH-cam channel and then a blogpost on my WordPress site, then a tweet, then....and so on....really there's no limit to what you can automate. What I did here is pretty simple.
What about you? Are you already using something like this? Or maybe you can think of ways to save you and your clients' time with this solutions. I bet you are sick of doing the same tasks over and over....

@@BrendanOConnellWP I have a woocommerce store for a client and we need to add a birthday discount automatically, I'm sure there is a simple way to do it rather than buy fluentCRM for just one task.
Maybe a snippet to match the birthday field with the date and add user role for a week then remove it.
I have a user rule discount.
what is the best way to do it ?

how is the birthdate field added? with acf? most of the fields can be updated with activepieces except the regular price in woo. Not sure why, just how they built it. You need an application password, but then you can do a get request to see all the customers and all their fields, so once you have their birthdays you can query them based on the customer name, and then PUT the data into their custom field for bday. I am not sure if this is what you're asking exactly though?

I can collect birth date with custom field.
Most of CRMs require the paid version , I'm looking for a free tool a automate task this task.

I like the voice memo to text. Do you just get the transcripts or have OpenAI write a summary

you can do both! chat gpt can do the transcription in one flow and then summarize in any manner in the next flow. last I checked it was limited to only 3 MB file, so really it only worked for small files. i asked the team to increase the file limit (at least 10x in my opinion) and they are looking in to increasing it.
