My Vertu Ascent has been dropped many times and still going on strong. DO NOT use any form of metal polish on your Vertu! It's made from some sort of anodized aluminium that does not respond to polishes, and the Vertu centre informed me that anodized aluminium is non-polishable as the anodized layer is very hard. A simple wipedown with a damp cloth is all that's necessary. I use baby wipes and its fantastic.

People don't realize with how frequently they change name brand phones and extend their contracts, they could buy a Vertu and have a phone that will last them for years to come. The Concierge is also not that expensive when you take into consideration an iPhone tacks on $600/month to your phone a year. The Concierge service is about twice that, but way more uesful than net on a phone...
@karst1hans1 if it drops nothing will happen. vertu tested it by dropping it from 7th storey down to a concrete floor and there is not even a minor scratch
sure they needed an experienced craftman to put in parts that could easily be done by machines. This company should hear of the latest technology, its called mass production

"Signature uses function to create beautiful form". Where's the function? Its function and features are relatively outdated that it can be found in old mobile phones. The only word it really needs is "sophistication", just like intricately done in Swiss watch or the multi-tasking capability & refinement of James Bond.
