It's been 0 days since Arin and Dan have discussed the difference between Baby Bowser, Koopa Kid, and Bowser Jr. while playing Mario Party
And he still doesn’t get it
Well, this game makes things confusing because the characters in this game are CALLED Baby Bowser but they're not actually the same as the actual Baby Bowser. After the N64 Mario Party games, they changed the name from Baby Bowser to Koopa Kid.
LostSkullKid then what about bowser jr?!??
They can be distinguished by the games they appear in. Koopa Kid (originally called Baby Bowser) appears in Mario Party gamss, Bowser Jr. appears in Super Mario games, and Baby Bowser appears in Yoshi games.
IKIGAI Bowser Jr. is Bowser's son. Baby Bowser is Bowser as a baby. And the Koopa Kids are characters that are only in Mario Party and their names were mistranslated as "Baby Bowser" in the American versions of Mario Party 1-3. They were also removed from the Mario Party series in Mario Party 7 and then Bowser Jr. got added to the Mario Party series. The actual Baby Bowser has never been in Mario Party.
I'm calling it right now: this is gonna end in either them getting bored at turn 20 or whatever and calling it a draw; or forcing themselves to get to the very end, almost dying in the process and deciding never to do Game Grumps again.
You forget that the entire time danny will yell at arin for putting the CPU on hard AGAIN and they'll lose to it.... again...

I got a nasty blister in the middle of my hand from Mario Party 1, and I never heard about the free glove promotion, so all I got for my pain and suffering was.. pain, and suffering. 😑
@@CaptainStardust1988 they never went out of their way to promote the gloves, since it would have costed them an arm and a leg. You would be hard pressed to find a pair of those, because of how little they promoted them at the time.

@@darkeneddaylight5422 No. The first one had the minigames where you had to do circles with the control stick, and the most efficient way to do this was to use the center of the palm of your hand so that you could do circles with your hand as fast as possible. But the skin on the palm of your hand is very delicate, especially at the center of it, and especially for kids who didn't have callouses yet from work or stuff like that. I still remember how much it hurt from having that part of my palm all chaffed off and looking all red and raw 😭.
The 2nd one and onwards just scrapped these type of minigames, unless they made a comeback later on anything beyond Mario Party 3, since that's the last one I ever got.

I love how Danny has just accepted the whole "one character is in Hard mode" thing that Arin does in every single Mario Party game. Like he knows there's absolutely no way he can convince him otherwise, so he's just gonna roll with it and deal with the inevitable pain that's about to come their way.

Right at the start, Arin gets his trivia slightly wrong: it was the first Mario Party that made people injure their hands. They got rid of all the stick-rotation minigames for MP2
Thank you for posting this. I can't believe they started with screw ups... oh wait, yeah I can lol. It's what makes them so endearing. I still own a copy of MP1. Every time I think to play it, my hand aches in remembrance.

actually, mario party 1 was the infamous mario game with those analog stick mini games that destroy your palms. they improved it a bit in 2. also, mario party 2 is the best one out of all 11 or however many games they made

1:06 That was Mario Party 1. In fact, Mario Party 2 changed a lot of the minigames that were like this in Japan for American players cuz of lawsuits involving Mario Party 1 and the joystick.

Wow Mario Party 2 with Jon was the first game grumps episode I ever watched and the fact that they're playing it again and Arin brought up a bit from it warms heart
This game is so nostalgic for me, I think the N64 was my favorite console we owned growing up.

I've been spending a lot of my quarantine time playing Undertale and, Arin, you scared the crap out of me with this.
When I was a kid, we had 4 controllers and set 1 human 3 cpu, played it out until the last turn or so, then switched to 4human to keep all the rewards.

I was definitely one of those people with palm blisters. Though, I remember it happening more on MP1.
MP2 reused some of those palm destroying minigames but changed the controls to mashing a+b. They had a civil lawsuit after MP1 and had to mail out gloves for anyone that contacted them for them lol.
Definitely MP1 not 2, Arin got it wrong (insert shocked face here), the minigames that caused it were Paddle battle, cast aways & tug-o-war
The solo-play Bike pedal game from MP1 was the destroyer.

Paddle Battle and Tug O War did it for me. The Pedal Power game wasn't as bad because you weren't fighting against the other players so it didn't last as long normally. It was all worth it in the end for annihilating my family, though. Good times

Guys this is going to be amazing. 50 turn MP2 games are life experiences that change you forever. I'm a little frightened for the future of Grumps, as this game is more than capable of separating the closest of friends.
