It is nice to have an orchid from 'home'! I have several simply because they grow in Africa and I have seen them in the wild when I was a child, but then I did not know what the pretty blooms were. Once I figured out that a friend of my parents had orchids in trees, I kept asking for pieces and did the same in my garden. So, yes, I can totally relate to having something from 'home' in your home. Roots??? Dang!! 😅 Really appreciate you taking the time to join in, thank you 👍🏼

What a cute plant, just the right size. But even if it grows larger this species always stays nice looking !!!!

Yes, it has a very nice shape 🥰! and if it gets too wide you can always divide it and give it to a friend :)

What a beautiful orchid, I like the grassy leaves! Check out Mexican butterworts (pinguiculas) if you want another plant from Mexico around! They eat gnats and other flying pests :) Thank you for sharing ! - Samuel

Mine looks like the Tenuifolia but the bulbs are much smaller and it has two leaves per bulb. I think I have something very different 😁

It would’ve been really nice to see how you cleaned the plant with your spray mixture.

Oh really haha well here and in Germany we are lucky there are so many orchid nurseries that is relatively easy to get them and orchids are so beautiful hahaha so easy to get caught in the temptation of growing them ☺️
