Shinichi Osawa is one of Japans biggest musical outputs, an acclaimed producer, composer, DJ and musician he certainly has been making a name for himself over the other side of the world and within niche music markets across the globe.
Recognise this one? We thought you might. Star Guitar was originally a hit for the Chemical Brothers in 2002, where it reached #8 in the UK Singles Chart. Now Shinichi has transformed this track into a stunning guitar-led fusion of twisted beats with a driving bassline with the vocal sounding more haunting than ever before!

Star guitar is one of my all time favourite tunes, I was sceptical at first when I heard there was a DnB mix of it but the Brookes bro's have done a really good job, they've managed to keep the original feel to it without it being a straight copy.
Almost scary how good this is.. I can't help but move!!!! DnB is Life!!

Man i remeber listening to bbc radio1 back in 2008 and 2009 and they would always play this, dawn treader and tear u down. Brookes bros were putting out so many bangers then.
Maybe its because 2009 was the one of the most wild years in my life...but I love to come back to what I used to listen back then. Omg...those old tracs got balls like nothing new has. If I had a time machine, I would send myself back to 2009...

You should try to come to Indonesia. There is an island called Gli Trawangan, you can reach the island from Bali by boat about 1,5 hour. And in the island there is a lounge named Sunset Bar. Then i think it is the PERFECT place for you to listen this song.

It sickening how almost-unknown this entire genre is in the US. Chances are 1 in 5,000 Americans has an accurate understanding that it's a genre and not two different things to begin with.

Chances are similar for Mexico, but I consider myself belonging to both. Sometimes I feel an urge to just go to England to share my love of DnB. Where I live, it's all rap, I'm a musical outcast. Not the best place to be in during high school.
DJ Saidez come in NL or at LiR in Milovice. Or Belgium also, but here in France, we are really late too..
It's underground since 20yrs...
Anyway, England is fine, but don't close doors to your love of dnb and crave of dnb connections.

I've loved the Chemical Brothers original for years....then this comes out and tops it. Top tune - saw Brookes Brothers play it at a night in Manchester and it went off.
My dream is to listen to this on the warm sands of a beach, while watching the sunset, with a cold glass of fresh-squeezed lemonade. Maybe someday...

I just checked wikipedia, it says that Osawa's Star Guitar is a cover of the Chem's Star Guitar, which makes sense if you listen to the original Osawa song and compare it to The Chemical Brothers version. So technically that would make this just a plain old remix, then.

First heard this in London Elektricity's essential mix. Love Brookes Brothers. Always putting out tunes! Never liked Chemical Brothers though. Always felt they were overrated.
