- This is a video from me, DarkspinesSonic A.K.A Da1AndOnlySonic, showing an S-Rank battle against Hard Mode Perfect Chaos on Sonic Generations for the PS3. This is one of many S-Rank videos to come for Sonic's 20th Anniversary celebration video game, which will include every act as well as every boss and rival (both on hard mode). Enjoy! ^_^

This section of the game made me realize just how stronger Sonic has gotten. He took down Chaos without needing to go Super this time.
I think it's worth pointing out you can drown in this boss fight (not by falling into water over bottomless pits). This makes Generations technically have a legit 3D underwater section.
No monster's too tough for Sonic, because Sonic is way past cool! :D
I know it's kind of off topic but does anybody know a good place to watch new tv shows online?

By far my fav' boss of generations
You know what scares me? In Sonic Adventure, he needed to be Super Sonic to beat him. Now he can kill him with his regular form! I guess he has been training.
This is how Chaos was originally supposed to look but they couldn't put it in SA

Dash The Hedgehog You're just assuming facts not in evidence. There's no proof they had this stuff planned back in 1998, even if they claim they did (12 years later).
KinnikumanUpLoader01 Well, considering the imagery of Perfect Chaos in the temple, I’d say this is what they wanted but couldn’t make the model for.
Don't forget in the opening of SA1 Perfect Chaos looked more reptilian than water too.
Well now we know sonic is improving his game, now he doesn't even need supersonic to beat perfect chaos
Perfect chaos looks kick ass
The exploding was probably just from the chaos energy super sonic was using. In Sonic X sonic disintegrates one of chaos' tentacles and then rushes into him, causing him to explode. :l
Tikal: We need to put him in the Master Emerald now!

Im guessin sonic got stronger from sa1 to generations, he doesnt even need his super form anymore to beat him! :D
Because all he did was hit him in the weakspot 4 times.

Indeed, Modern Sonic is faster than Dreamcast Super Sonic. Which is just as well, since Dreamcast Sonic was at times faster than Classic Sonic. Five years from now, he’ll be able to do the Kessel run in _six_ parsecs. ;D
I was under the impression only Super Sonic could beat Perfect Chaos because of all negative energy from the chaos emeralds it absorbed.
Actually, he doesn't "explode" on the 4th hit in this game.

Here's what I didn't like about this game: That little chao thing tells you how to do EVERYTHING. Other than that, it's amazing. By far the best sonic game.
The first time I played this level I shit myself, so much nostalgia was just overwhelming

it is only for me or hard mode is easier than normal in this boss?

And another thing I noticed is that none of the characters from Sonic Adventure's time are present in Perfect Chaos' place.
@SFtheWolf Not that, I said Perfect Chaos is a watered down boss, and no one got it.
Stages are easy to unlock when you start the game, you'll begin in sonic's origin, Green Hill Zone, as his younger form, classic sonic... i beat green hill zone with both moderns and classic sonic. so i unlock the next stage. it goes on until the final boss. It's a short game, but if you love sonic, it's very repayable. Red rings unlock all music and art and let the unlock-able music be used during a stage... Green Forest (SA2) on Green Hill Zone. S rank's just give you a trophy
This boss was a pain.
You know what's even worse then poising to sonic twice. He got pawned by regular sonic this time

Does boosting when going through Perfect Chaos do any more damage or do anything different at all?
Nope, I just realised it, I did it boosting and lost boost for nothing.
Shouldn't him become Super Sonic to beat Chaos?

MariovsSoNiC 453 Which proves that Sonic doesn't even require Boost to beat Chaos. Just hit him in the weakspot repeatedly and bam! Done.

@dabestgamer true. but in the sonic games you dont have moments were characters train and all sonic did was was ram the guy in both games. but good point regardless
I preffer this with the original "Open Your Heart" music.

Is supersonic in this game? havent bought it yet.
Although in Archie Comics Chaos was defeated by Knuckles who turned on the power plant
2011 sonic doesn't even need super form to beat perfect chaos.
perfect chaos looks much better now he has a skin and hasnt got that thing that looked like something stretched his mouth open too much

No, it's the same damgage count, hit 3 times, platforms comes along, and hit him another time.... For Hard. Boost is critical in the boss stage,you'll waste it if you do use it when going through chaos. use boost if you know how

Why must one use so much boost in this boss fight why?It's a huge hurdle for me.

i hate to be selfish but i feel so accomplished right now, i beat stage 4 world 1 of challenge mode in 23 seconds(not sure about exact time)

Not entirely true. Considering Modern Sonic has fought him once before, he has gained much experience since then and most likely remembers how best to fight Perfect Chaos so he can take him without the Emeralds.

@MynameisP57 Dude, it's a video game. A video game that breaks the rules by taking pieces of time and throwing them all together in the first place. Not only that but the writer has the right to retcon parts of the story any time he pleases. Don't think so hard about it.

it seems like your just boosting into his head or hitting a dash pad just before hitting him, I like the original boss better where you have to build up enough momentum or else the attack would fail
