    With the TV riser, could you purchase a standard wall mount bracket and mount to the upper part of amazon vertical brackets that are now mounted to the tv, utilizing 4 of the fixing holes at the top. This should raise your tv up

    Question. I'm new to the thought of even trying to build a home theater. But the timing is perfect because we are currently building a home that will have a dedicated media room. The Media Room dimensions are about 15 1/2 ft wide, and half the room depth is 19'10" and the other half is 23ft, the ceiling is vaulted from 8ft to 10ft (highest point). Would you consider this a small theater room space? Also, do you think the room is big enough to house a 150" screen protector or bigger?

    Hey mate, nice setup!! How are you like the center speaker? Im really tossing up between the svs ultra and the krix vortex mk2.. just isnt much info or reviews out there on the krix.
    Cheers.

    Sarkis, use some non-slip mat in between those surrounds and the stands. It's as good as velcro. The blu-tak will leave residue and possibly stain that beautiful black wood. Great video and fantastic choice of speakers for your mini-man cave!

      Nope at this stage it sounds phenomenal but will be testing out minor things soon. Their approximate a feet behind towards the side of seating.

    I always liked those Vifa ring radiator tweeters, I probably still have a few of them laying around someplace left over from past projects. I think you will definitely get great performance from that system!
    Have you tried 3M Dual Lock? It's like a hard plastic version of velcro. It's a much stronger attachment than regular velcro.
    How does that TV stand go together at the base? Is there any way to detach it from the base and insert some short metal bars that would extend the height a few inches? There is always a way, maybe as simple as making some kind of platform to place underneath the TV stand. Post some detailed photos of the stand, or just a link to it, someone among your subscribers will have an idea.

    • @hstudio30
      @hstudio30  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im a massive fan of them tweeters, the 3M dual lock is definately solid but possibly overkill that will dig into the cabinet. The tv stand that i bought from amazon is adjustable and thats the maximum height on it unfortunately, im sure i can customise it but at this stage i don't want to muck around with it but will post some pics on my facebook community page soon. Thank you my friend 👌🍻

    Very nice, can wait to see the theater room. Rental limitations are difficult to work with. I would leave it as is and see how often it actually affects your viewing.

      Same here im dying to start on the dedicated room which is still in the building process ( the entire house ) once its finished ill be getting in there and ripping out everything and record the entire process. 🤙😉

    It seems like price is high in Australia? 🤷
    I think Krix should have went magnetic grills to eliminate the peg holes 🤦such a beautiful center that should not be covered.
    I gots to get me that shirt your wearing 😁😊👏🍻
    I think you should be the salesman go between for Krix and the US 🤞😉

    • @hstudio30
      @hstudio30  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean Australia is Australia...yes expensive. I think the full timber cabinet finish didn't allow for the magnetic grill option.
      My shirt link is down below on my merch store. Haha cheers man thats too kind of you! 🤙🍻

    Can't wait to see your new theatre room! KRIX is used in our local Wallis cinemas. Are you going with a grey/black colour scheme or red like before? I reckon either would look great!

    • @hstudio30
      @hstudio30  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't wait to have a dedicated room again! i will be going for daker greys and blacks for that modern touch yes. Im also thinking mixing it up with some timber interior decore also..well see. :D

    Just recently upgraded my HT and the old 5.1 went to the living room, for my center I needed about 30cm clearance so I made two simple platforms so the feet can rest on. Alternative is put the TV on top of the center speaker since it is very solid built

    • @hstudio30
      @hstudio30  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its not really ideal for the tv to sit ontop of the speaker but ill give it a go for the sake of things. I doubt ill enjoy that look. Cheers for watching 🍻🤙

    Sick setup man, reminds of my old B&W set up in my old house HT, love the work man, I'm currently in the process of building a new house, new HT with all Krix setup (speakers) & Rel (subs)
    Watching this excites me to get my old B&W setup in my living area in my new house 😁

    I had the same issue as you I just build a plywood platform with 2 sides that sit over the top of the centre channel without touching it and the the tvs normal stand just sat on the platform

    • @hstudio30

    Could be a dumb idea but could you use a sheet of wood to sit on top of the centre speaker(felt tape strip on piece of wood in between the wood and speaker don't want to ruin that nice finish) to put the tv stand on top of the speaker, i have the same troubles with renting so this might help you, I use a similar stand and want to go from my cheap 65 inch the to a decent 75 inch TV and i think it wont fit with with my Klipsch 504c, I'm sure there are other people out there with some good ideas!

    • @hstudio30
      @hstudio30  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great idea but placing the tv ontop of the center speaker is not ideal unfortunately..thanks for watching andrew 👌

    Your centre speaker problem is tricky. I'd extend the vertical bar on the TV stand but this depends on your DIY skills & how much spare time you have to do it. Other quick fix option depending on how your cabinet is built is to remove the legs & drop the whole unit down onto the ground. Obviously this would only be possible if it has legs which I can not see in the vid & they can be unscrewed (or you're prepared to chop them if not!) :P

    • @hstudio30
      @hstudio30  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely doable but since im only in here for a short time, i might either find an easier way or leave things until i move to my new home with 2 theater rooms! :D Thanks for them tips!
