FRANGIPANI GUMPASTE FLOWER Tutorial

A gum paste Frangipani flower tutorial. A lovely tropical flower, this is made from gum paste but you can easily make it with fondant with added tylose (CMC). Finish it off with lustre dust in the center, then steam it to set the colour.
Materials used:
Gum paste (Link below for the homemade gum paste)
• GUMPASTE Homemade Tuto...
Fondant roller (2mm spacers)
Cutting mat
Ranunculus cutter (5cm length) The bigger the cutter the bigger the flower.
Foam mat (for shaping)
Edible Glue (I used homemade, which is 3 Tablespoon cooled boiled water mixed with 1/8 Teaspoon tylose or known as either, CMC or gumtex)
Any used egg carton to set your flower on while drying.

Hi, the glue might need a bit more longer to stick before forming the flower.

Thank you, I used a canary yellow and a rose pink, not sure which brand now was awhile ago, This was dusted on before steaming it to set the colour.

Hi, I use homemade glue, though you can use water. The glue is 3 tablespoons of cooled boiled water mixed with 1/8 tsp of tylose powder (or known as CMC or gumtex) depending which country you live in. Mix it as good as you can, leave it for approx 10 minutes and remix. Will look lumpy at first, but will clear up once it softens. Hope this helps.

Hi Caridad, sorry the video wasn't as clear but the colours I used: Light pink lustre dust, Dusky Rose from Rolkem, Rainbow Spectrum and Violet from Rainbow Dust brand. Hope this helps.

You can use gel colours if you like but use it watered down is best.
