    As an Australian, I swear to god Red Rock Deli chips are the best thing our entire country has ever come up with... they just taste so damn good...
    The Honey Soy Chicken and Sea Salt & Balsamic Vineger ones are my favorites.

    Sour cream and sweet chilly is very common in Australia we eat it with hot potato wedges.

    I love Cadburys's Flake, it's very popular in the UK. Here, we can buy soft serve ice cream cones that have a Flake bar sticking out of the ice cream; it's known as a "99" and you can get them from most ice cream vans on the streets or at the beach. I also like Flake bars crumbled over the cream topping on a sherry trifle at Christmas.

    • @thempstead
      @thempstead 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's even a 99 Flake Wikipedia page. Eating a flake bar on its own .... that way lies madness! 😆

    • @lmaree200886
      @lmaree200886 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Here in Aus we can get a Flake in an Ice cream cone from Macca's (McDonald's) or crushed into a McFlurry or a Storm Ice Cream from Hungry Jack's (Aus Burger King). We've had limited edition Flakes too. Cappuccino, choc mint, flake snow (white choc flake with milk choc coating), dark flake and I think there was an orange one too like the Twirl bar. There's not many independent ice cream vans these days as the Home Ice Cream company has become more popular. But if you find a van like Mr Whippy you can get a cone with a Flake with the option of having it dipped into chocolate that goes hard when its cold.

    • @joannegray5138
      @joannegray5138 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had the Flake Snow here and the dark chocolate one as a limited edition. The mint and orange ones sound yummy, but have never been on sale in the UK regretfully.

    The reason for the "miso umami" flavour, is because chocolate is made from fermented cocoa beans. Cadbury's puts a lot of milk in their chocolate, which masks that fermented flavour. The more natural chocolate is, the more fermented the flavour is.

    • @lifewithkazu2203
      @lifewithkazu2203 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh that makes a lot of sense! I didn't realise this. I personally didn't notice the 'umami' but it has a richer chocolate taste to me that seems more natural which I like.

    Hi guys, I opened straight away as my plan was to send all those amazing chips to you. I was curious if the Camembert and fig would work in chips. Carmen's does a good orange and poppyseed balls. The owner bought the muesli company for next to nothing as a teenager, look at her great ideas now. I am.more a fan of Italian chocolate. but we have such an international range. Thanks guys, that was fun to watch

    Hi Shinichi & Satoshi! Australia seems to have a ton of yummy goodies! About 3 weeks I found Tim Tams in our grocery & I LOVE THEM! So now I want to try more foods from around the world, I'm starting small, right here in the "International" aisle but I want to try the real stuff from the actual countries! I get so excited about travel, food, cultures but one foot in front of the other, baby steps, that's one of the reasons why I love your videos you take me places I can't go to, not yet. Keep them great videos coming! Love...

    Cheese and fig is an actual combination that exist in France and it's neighbouring countries. You can find it in the Cheese isle in your local grocery store/supermarket. It's actual good cheese sometimes traditional cheese with fig.

    The Red Rock chips are also for sale in New Zealand and there is another brand that has a lot of those same or similar flavors. When it comes to the flakes the most common way a lot of those are eaten in New Zealand is in a soft serve icecream. You can get a soft serve icecream from McDonalds in New Zealand with a flake in it. They also put flakes into the icecream and then dip them in a chocolate shell dip. The Kettle Chip Company brand chips are also made here in New Zealand from New Zealand potatoes as well as in Australia from Australian potatoes. Other strange flavors available in New Zealand include Copper Kettle Special Reserve Potato Chips Sea Salt & Black Truffle, Bluebird Delisio Potato Chips Caramelised Onion & balsamic vinegar, and Copper Kettle Special Reserve Potato Chips Pork Belly & Mustard Cider Jus to name but a few.

    Wow, I'm pretty early on a video! Within the first 50 comments! I literally just finished my packet of the Kettle Camembert and Fig chips. The flavour is subtle but addictive! If Red Rock Deli made that flavour it would knock you on your feet! I do love Red Rock Deli Sea Salt and Balsamic Vinegar chips the most. Shame the Sweet Chilli ones are too spicy for me :( and I can't have honey cause of my bees and wasps allergy. Glad you guys got to enjoy more yummy Aussie snacks!

    Just a little fyi, the flake is a British chocolate bar, which is sold in other countries too. As you are probably aware (given you've eaten a lot of Cadbury products), Cadbury is a British company, so most of their chocolate bar varieties originate from England. However, in some countries in which they operate like Australia, they have created country/regional specific products that they don't have in the UK such as the cherry ripe (chocolate covered cherry flavoured coconut filling).
    Green & Black is also a British company and not Polish as Satoshi said.
    With regards to the "protein bars" - conventional protein bars (like the ones sold at gyms and most stores) are made with flavoured whey or soya protein powder and so are usually dry, grainy in texture and often not very tasty with a typical protein content of between 20-25 grams per bar. In my opinion, the bar you tried is not a protein bar but rather a cereal bar made higher in protein with the use of nuts and seeds, both of which are quite high in protein. I could be wrong but I suspect that the protein level per bar is much less than the 20-25g you find in what I consider protein bars, probably maybe even less than 10g.
    The main reason for not including dried fruit is that they are high in natural sugar and then they need to use more sugar, honey or the like to glue the bits together into a bar, which is why most cereal bars are high in sugars and far from healthy.

    As an Australian, I personally find them too crunchy, I usually end up cutting the roof of my mouth or my gums on the sharp edges while eating them. However, I think that the Red Rock Deli brand have the best flavours. Almost all of these flavours are available in other brands but Red Rock Deli has a higher flavour intensity and balance, most other brands tase much more bland or one ingredient is much stronger in taste than the other instead of having a nice flavour combination like the Red Rock Deli brand.
