The lovely team at Chessington World of Adventures invited me to enjoy a two day, one night stay at the resort. They gifted Gary and I tickets for both days and a standard Wanyama Reserve (savannah) view room in the on-site Safari Hotel. Thank you to everyone at Chessington that helped in making this visit so amazing!
In this two part vlog series, we'll take you around the theme park, zoo and both resort hotels. We'll give you our review of the attractions, some of the dining options and even the VIP experiences that you can book on your visit to the resort.
In this vlog, join us as we experience Gruffalo River Ride, Vampire, Rattlesnake, Tomb Blaster, Tiger Rock, Kobra, Monkey Swinger, Dragon's Fury, Toadie's Crazy Cars and Zufari! Not only that, we also book a VIP experience to meet the Giraffes! The experience is £25 full price, or £20 if you're staying at an on-site hotel or have a Chessington or Merlin Annual Pass.
We dine at Vampire Burger Kitchen for Lunch, grab some sweet treats from The Sweet Shop and enjoy an amazing dinner overlooking the Wanyama Reserve in the Safari hotel's Zafari restaurant.
In our full resort tour, we'll give you a full room tour of our standard Wanyama Reserve view room in Safari Hotel, show you around the lobby, evening entertainment space, Zafari restaurant, swimming pool & water playground, Azteca hotel bar & restaurant, indoor & outdoor animal enclosures open to resort guests and the wonderful lobby spaces.

I got so excited at the bodger and badger reference. No one remembers it!! Bodger was the first "famous" person I met when I was a little girl and he was in the local panto and I bumped into him outside the theatre with my mum 😂 I asked him where Badger was and cried when he said he was in his bag. I didn't understand he was a puppet!!

So true about Chessington, if you go round going "Animal Kingdom did this better", or "It's so small compared to Universal", then you won't enjoy the experience. But if you just be in the moment, it's so much more fun! (Though the rope-climbing mannequin in Rattlesnake queue is just creeeeeeeepy.....) Looking forward to part 2!

Wooo former Merlin employee here too! I worked in rides and attractions at Legoland for three seasons. Let's say it....opened my eyes to the dark side of customer service! But the people were lovely and I had a blast.
