It's amazing how knowledgeable you are in this game, the whole explanation of the discard warlock vs the discard quest was so well put and really helped me to see why they actually aren't synergistic.
There is a point where you do play the quest though if it is good enough. 5/5, maybe. 10/10, probably, 100/100 absolutely. So there is a point where it does become played, the biggest problem is that 2 3/2s ever turn suck. They cant close a game. 2 5/4s probably put enough pressure to do that in 2-3 turns if left unanswered compared to 5-6 turns with 3/2 s and that is a massive difference.
That last game was one of the most amazing games of hearthstone I've ever seen. And to think the awesome endgame came down to the opponent having cataclysm as the last card in their deck, a card which they probably shouldn't be running to begin with. Amazing video even without that tho
Honestly Jeklik doesn't belong in there either. Jeklik is more in line with a value Lakkari Sacrifice deck (terrible card) but the discard archetype is overwhelmingly tempo-aggro based.

Your opponents won’t even know what’s coming, since nobody’s ever heard of half the combo pieces. What cards you put in the deck doesn’t matter, probably should be card draw, but you can include any of your favourite cards since the combo is impossibly powerful on it’s own. All you have to do is draw all of the combo pieces, Thaurissan them, then play Mad Summoner into Plague of Flames into Brann into Wicked Skeleton into Opponent Concedes. Easy as that. You can thank me later, when this deck carries you to Rank 1 Legend.
But wicked skeleton doesn't have an immediate impact on the board. It's just a big minion that you play. I dont know much about wild, but it seems like there are a variety of cards that can deal with that

13:13 shouldn’t he just kill loot hoarder with 1/1 minion then use Galakrond? Bran should make it kill 2 minions, am I wrong? I think in this way warlock couldn’t use defile

No. If anything, the "nerf" makes things worse, since it kills off the "fairer" Reno Quest Mage version, and does nothing against the broken non-Reno version. Most Reno Quest Mages will switch to non-Reno which means more of that bullshit on ladder, more aggro to combat them, so an even faster meta.
See Roffle, you say that, but imagine if the buff was the quests auto-hit the field on turn one, and when you complete the warlock quest the portal INSTANTLY opens up on the board. It'd still be a value card, but it's no longer costing tempo. It'd probably be overpowered in fact.
Roffle’s funeral is just going to be a masked figure in a coffin, and you take the mask off and plot twist- it’s Tanner. He’s fun and runs out and nobody knows where Roffle is.
I know im nitpicking but at 13:10 - 13:30 when Galacock is summoned he had bran up and I was like OOOO POG HE ONLY NEEDS TO TRADE THE 1/1 but then he dinny realise the battlecry was doubled and it hurt a little. Still good plays all around tho im not being toxic bruhs KEEP CALM

Honestly if the quest was printed after witchwood and they were summoned at the start of your turn with rush they’d be a lot better at justifying a value based discard lock.
Ok so I fill like the warlock quest needs a complete rework it should help with discarding not giving you an unrelated side reward. Something like “for the rest of the game discarded cards get shuffled into your deck” or something like that I’m not a card designer I just play the game
That sounds interesting, but broken, discard warlock is already an aggro deck, but to have basically a little less than 30 extra cards added to their deck means there isnt a drawback anymore to discarding something big like the 5/7 charge

@@Crawdithe98 exactly. He obviously has the downside of possibly turning off the highlander cards, but he still prevents fatigue. Also, he is my favorite card xD.

This deck doesn’t even out value my normal Reno priest... by abandoning the normal draw power of the deck and relying on the neutral draws and the cleric, thus keep drawing spells instead of key minions, this deck is forced to keep playing from behind and left with no time to generate value, on the counter part joybuzz, witchwood piper, and barista are all better cards to enhance a value-based game plan.
