How did you go from kasol to dharamshala? Are there any cheap modes of transportation?
We booked the same taxi driver who took us to khoksar from manali.
I think the best way is to get a taxi from either manali or even kasol there are prepaid taxi counters where you can check.

We r planning for Shimla Manali trip in june. Which is good self trip or booked by travel agency? Is cab is easily available for self trip?
Self trip would be good but for intercity travels hire a taxi with driver who can take you places as per your convenience.
Cabs I dont think are very frequently available .. for within the city in Manali u can take auto to go around!!

Will the Rotang Pass be open in mid-october?
Is it good time to visit Shimla, Manali, Kasol, Kullu, Dharamsala in October ?
Yes the rohtang pass should be open in mid october as it closes only after snowfall.
You can visit all these places in october as the weather will be pleasant and not too cold and chilly.

We went there in November end. Rohtang pass was closed at that time.. but we went to khoksar.. where there was sufficient snow to enjoy.. 🙂

We are planning to visit Himachal in 2nd week of December for honeymoon. Is it necessary to take a package or we shall only pre book hotels. Cabs are easily available?
Its really not necessary to take a package, just prebook your hotels and train/flight. And you can locally book taxis there. However the ola/uber service was not there.
For local sightseeing you have to rely on auto rickshaws and local taxi drivers.

@@urfrndkanishk As per my personal experience I did not feel the place to be over crowded … what I know is these hill stations actually become overcrowded in summers and not too much in winters.. nov end to dec mid was not crowded that much!

You can easily book cabs from mall road manali but you need to book atleast a day before you plan to visit spiti valley or anywhere around in himachal.
Do u require sweaters??? In June??
You wont need sweaters during the day but might need in the night if you are outside.. Its best to carry 1 or 2 extra pieces of clothing while travelling! 🙂

Yes, there was some snowfall few days back and you can easily find snow clad mountains on the higher regions in the sissu village!
Is September a good time to be there?
September should be good as post monsoon showers, you will get to see the hills in full greenery but you might not see any snow.
Can we get SNOW in 2nd week of March? and Will Rohtang pass will stay opened?
I am not sure of snowfall during that time. For rohtang pass closure please check online.

How to travel from Kasol to Dharamsala?
You can book a private taxi from kasol and go to Dharamshala.
We booked the same taxi which we booked in manali and asked the driver to pick us from kasol and drop in dharamshala..

What is the total cost??
Yes, June is also a good time to visit himachal but snow will not be there mostly.
Total cost depends on a lot of factors like travel mode, season and hotels etc.
A trip like us which is shown in the video costed us somewhere around 1 to 1.25 lakhs since we opted for 2 luxury resorts.
