I look forward to watching Gabbys videos. She is made for the camera. I have played golf for over 30 years and I learn something new in all of Gabbys videos. Stay awesome young lady.
I too, at 64, have been playing golf for years in the Coachella Valley. I was down to a five at one time. But I still learn from Gabby. I pray that she continues to honor God with her life by giving it away to others as she does. She inspires me not just for golf, but also makes me want to live each day more cheerfully as she does.
I don't really play a lot of golf but stumbled on this video and all of the comments are amazing and I agree. Obviously she's fantastic at golf, but she is an incredible teacher. She speaks naturally and communicates ideas so well while having fun and conveying that joy to others. It's so awesome to see people flourishing exactly where they are meant to be! 🙏 Well done Gabby!
I gave up golf over 40 years ago. Spent too much time in my head. I watch Gabby and find myself learning, smiling, appreciating, and enjoying golf more than ever. Golf is relaxing when Gabby is striking the ball.
I saw a short of these Gabby edits, and wanted more. You either get it first time or you don't. A baby could watch Gabby :). Go for the hole in one Gabby!
I love your enthusiasm for the game Gabby !! You are an amazing golfer, can't wait to see what your future holds as you move up the ranks.....Good Luck in your future
My personal top 5 in order 1. 3-5 foot putt 2. A draw of any kind 3. Ball beneath feet 60 degree 4. Downhill lie 3 wood 5. An in-bounds drive Handicap 30+ Your videos are great keep it up!
Long fairway bunker with some lip to deal with; Flop over a greenside bunker out of a fluffy lie; Any short pitch shot off of a very thin lie; Punch shot that has to carry a good distance but has to start/stay extremely low; Short sided bunker shot off of the downslope in the back of the bunker
Just thought of another really hard one. THE HARDEST! You’ve gone long on an approach shot to the green. And behind the green it rolls 10 yards downhill into a swale collection area. The pin is just 3 paces from the back of the green. Sooo, you are short-sided and have to pitch uphill and the green runs down and away from you. I suppose if you’re Mickelson you can hit a brilliant flop shot. I tend to want to pitch it into the bank with maybe a 9 iron and pray that gets me on the green inside 20 feet. 😂
It’s amazing your knowledge for the game at such a young age , seems like you know everything about anything , and that’s what all the greats can do , good luck to u, nothing but the best wishes from this guy
And it seems you have passion for the game , aka you seem to love it and it brings u joy , your not playing out of a sense of duty , like u have to play because u MuSt
Got a lesson as a kid back in the late 90s from a pro. She taught me to strike about 2" behind the ball when the ball is buried in the bunker. Found your videos because of your (youtube) shorts. Looking forward to more. Keep up the amazing golf.
My hardest shots start at the tee box and end with my putts. 😅 I know my golf buddies, from this point forward, will be asking me, why are you looking at your phone before every shot? Answer: I want to see what Gabby says. Thanks for the insightful tips!
You’re fun to watch, your commentary easy to listen to you’re so descriptive i feel like i can try the shot with success! You are wonderfully talented, thanks Gabby keep it going! 1) down hill putt cup sloping away 2) long iron/3wood o/b or tress on the left (I’m left handed) 3,4 & 5 you covered in your video
Gabby is teriffic at sharing her "secrets" for playing good golf. Explaining what and why she is doing, whether from a fairway bunker or from a tight lie, mid-range wedge. It is clear that she loves the game and enjoys sharing. I'd love to see Gabby, 2 years from college, match up with Claire Hogel, 2 years beyond college golf. They both have a love for the game and the ability to use that in teaching us mid and high handicappers ways to improve our game.
I play with deep rough around greens and have to hit short sided down green shots out of the wet rough over bunkers and are almost impossible up and downs. enjoyed this vid Gabby and keep up the great material.
These are great Gab! I also enjoy ur knowledge and golf vernacular.. two terms for the day.. "max speed" and compresson.. nwy, Most golfers focus on range shots 50yds to 250yds.. I like to challenge golfers who have been playing 5 to 50 years.. I tell them it doesn't matter how many years uve been golfing if uve been doing the wrong thing for decades or never mastered the basics.. lo.. All of these are nearly impossible because hardest shot I ask them to do is with 3 attempts to chip the ball to a target 15 to 20 ft away within 2 ft and only 5% can do it.. this too me is on reason the scores rarely get better since the modern games inception.. they don't get the scoring is on and around the green and up to 80 yds out.. like u said, they don't develop feel.. thanks for growing the game for new and young golfers and giving us a refreshers and ur beauty and golf brains brighten our day!
Great video again Gabby. Your golf outfits are always so colorful and cute. Are you endorsed by a brand or do you have a favorite line of golf apparel for women?
To me long iron over the water is the hardest shot, more things can go wrong and end up taking 10, on the other ones if you take 3 or 4 to get down that is not the end of the world, I love your enthusiasm and energy, I enjoyed that, thanks, peace and love.
The hardest shots that I must deal with regularly are getting out of bunkers with hard wet sand or next to no sand at all. My local course has links style bunkers (The sand belt in Victoria ,Australia 🇦🇺) and they can be horrible 😂😢🤣
Hi I’m obviously not gabby, however I’m a scratch player and I used to have your issue until a pro golfer I was playing a round with said golf is a solo game we’re you battle with yourself so always forget the previous shot, stand over the next shot knowing there is no one around you just you playing solo then your focus is only technique and the next shot. Once I learned how to focus playing solo my game got better. Hope my tip helps but I’m sure gabby has a better answer she’s just awesome!
Great video Gabby! I have experienced all of these shots. However, the execution and results of yours compared to mine were EXTREMELY different. 🤦♂ Thanks for sharing how you would strike each one with intention. 🙏👍
Hi Gabby. For me the fried egg shot. Ball buried in the up slope close to the lip Nightmare shot that plays with my mind so confidence goes out the window. Once it took me four shots to get it up and out. Turned a possible par into 4 over. Hated it. Yuck!!! Also first tee off in front of a crowd. I just say a prayer to myself that I'm going to strike the ball right and end up on the fairway. Nerves. That was great Gabby. I agree that all of those shots are ones I hope I don't have to take.
At this point most shots are tough, but I’m thinking of the long fairway shot with a side hill lie. Either 7-10 inches below my feet or 7-10 inches above my feet. I have to hit a fairway wood or long iron and judge how far left or right to aim.
I love your videos. I had to laugh on one of the shots you named where your above the green pitching down to the pin, and you said something of how do you get in this area, well you've never played my game, familiar shot. The shot you chose were great, the 50/60 yard bunker shot was always a problem for me. The one that I was afraid of is the long approach over water, but with the irons I had and the height of the ball i could actually put backspin on mid irons. My toughest shot you mentioned in the intro. The first tournament I was in, on the final round there was maybe 15/20 people by the tee. I got off work about 2 miles from the course, drove up and went to the tee, no warm up, was up all night and a crowd. ot to the ball, was very nervous, hit the ball and it seemed to go 20 yards about a foot off the ground then it jumped up and went right down the middle of the fairway and it was game on. The fried egg I didn't see too often, I was in my share of traps, but early in the morning when I would play the sand was still wet from dew and hard so the ball didn't bury itself. Great video.
I liked those 5. I can relate for sure to your picks. I was just thinking about my game … 🤔… I have a difficult time with a long approach shot to a green that is elevated and bunkers protecting the front. I just can’t get those shots high enough AND carry the bunkers. Plus you have to take extra club because it’s uphill.
1. downhill bunker lie to a down sloping green. 2. downhill side hill left-to-right breaking putts over 6 ft. 3. any must make putt over 3 feet to make the cut or win a tournament 4. those very deep bunkers that they have in Scotland 5. last drive on #18 dogleg left, lake left, OB right. Must land it in fairway to get par and win or make the cut. #18 at TPC Sawgrass
My toughest shot is the ball below my feet long iron or short iron. Where I normally end up in the trees. Flop shot from tight lies. Last when I'm between clubs. Do I soft shot a longer iron or hard hit a shorter iron.
Tiger woods waste management, 1997, hole in one was the greatest moment in recent golf history , the definition of hats off to u sir became a reality in that moment
Gabby you are very knowledgeable. I think this book is one of the better books on learning golf. "Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf". You should read it not saying you don't already know these things.
Hi Gabbi, I'm from Germany and I subscribed to your channel. I would be happy if you set a SLO-MO of your golf swing (Iron 7 and driver). Keep it up. Greetings from Germany, Olaf
I guess ranking them on toughness depends on your skill level. For a 90/bogey golfer like me, no question the 175-yard shot over water to an island green would be the most difficult by far.
is there anyway we can get updated to see how you are doing at tournaments? Also have you reached out to Rich Shields to see if they have a spot for you in his upcoming TH-cam Championship tournament?
Gabby, people tell me all the time that golf is a game and not life and death. I look them in the face and tell them, "your right, it isn't life and death......it's far more important than that".!
Any shot where there are houses or cars next to the course. 18th at St Andrews or 18th at North Berwick etc - these holes terrify me (and which makes it more likely to hit offline, such is the way...!)
Hardest Shot: The rock-hard, undressed, and deliberately compacted greenside bunkers during The Rona when courses decided to remove the rakes for our "safety." It was like hitting off of a cart path. I would have putted most of those if I had to do it over again.
Gabby, you asked about contact lenses. I've worn them for 25 years now. Believe me, I was extremely freaked out about ANYTHING going near my eyes. The first couple of times putting the contacts in was really really weird, but after getting used to them (after only a couple of days) they go in without issue and you feel nothing. I love my contact lenses. I hope I helped ease your fears. Also, I have a super hot son and he loves golf.... Just saying..😁

Always remember that you are very lucky to love anything in this worrld as much as you love golf! Keep it up! Keep going!
Why does this girl know and provide wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than what Pro golfers dare to provide? She is a Rock Star!!!!!
I love your enthusiasm for the game Gabby !! You are an amazing golfer, can't wait to see what your future holds as you move up the ranks.....Good Luck in your future
That was excellent sand shot!
My personal top 5 in order
1. 3-5 foot putt
2. A draw of any kind
3. Ball beneath feet 60 degree
4. Downhill lie 3 wood
5. An in-bounds drive
Handicap 30+
Your videos are great keep it up!
I really enjoy your videos so much,You really do a good job explaining everything so much. You are a wonderful young lady
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and tips with everyone. We look forward to seeing how you handle yourself in Tournaments
What are your Top 5 HARDEST Golf Shots??
Long fairway bunker with some lip to deal with; Flop over a greenside bunker out of a fluffy lie; Any short pitch shot off of a very thin lie; Punch shot that has to carry a good distance but has to start/stay extremely low; Short sided bunker shot off of the downslope in the back of the bunker
Plugged lie bunker shot, for sure...
Chipping from 80 yards to an elevated crowned green. Deep drop off the back of the green. Maddening. I can not do better than a double
Just thought of another really hard one. THE HARDEST! You’ve gone long on an approach shot to the green. And behind the green it rolls 10 yards downhill into a swale collection area. Very helpful Gabby.

You’re fun to watch, your commentary easy to listen to you’re so descriptive i feel like i can try the shot with success! You are wonderfully talented, thanks Gabby keep it going! 1) down hill putt cup sloping away 2) long iron/3wood

Thank you! Drone

I'm pretty sure it is designed that way to make it difficult so don't be too hard on yourself.
Thx for another fantastic informative video. My hardest shots are the ones I overthink and over analyze.

Hi Gabby! Are your clubs modified for your size?
1. downhill bunker lie to a down sloping green. 2. downhill side hill left-to-right breaking putts over 6 ft. 3. any must make putt over 3 feet to make the cut or win a tournament 4. those very deep bunkers that they have in Scotland 5. last drive on #18 dogleg left, lake left, OB right. People were throwing there hats onto the course in admiration
Gabby can you do a bunker shot swing? I mean I can get out of the sand but the ball flight is low..
Yes. Definitely
Definitely the tight lie flop...great stuff...ty!
Not actually super tough technically. But visually tough
@gabbygolfgirl so true....your mental game is so strong...definitely one of my opportunities I need to work on...
I enjoy and learn from your videos. Keep up the great work! One suggestion, perhaps get a wireless mic to wear so it’s easier to hear your commentary
Long iron over water for sure. The water gets in your head. I always try to swing to hard either pull, duck hook, etc..
Any bunker shot for me is the top five.
You should let us know what club u pick
the 9 wood is simply thrilling to hit.
I cranked a ball hitting just past 150 today then sent one sky high 130 dropped in 7 yards from hole 🕳 hole # 3 Par 4 King Ranch Frenchtown MT
You would be a joy to play a round with!
Green side cement bunker with tight lie.🤯
For me, the hardest shot (except shooting straight😊) 1-3 yards from the edge green side bunker elevated green, pin short and green is ”down slope”
Gabby you are very knowledgeable. I think this book is one of the better books on learning golf. "Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf". You should read it not saying you don't already know these things.

Wow that is a cool sand smiley face sand trap
Lol. Your love of golf is enjoyable
Love the play by play analysis,.. and it's like you are in your own back yard 😂
Good stuff, but you should get like a dji wireless mic or some type of mic. Alot of time we can't hear you very well.
great Video Gabby, try to book justin in for 9 holes, not sure if he golfs, but you would get 30 million hits LOL. Keep plugging away you are a pro

Ladies and gentlemen she has nerves of steel..good shots
🙏
Toughest is 170-200 yds out of thick rough , second is a tee shot after a birdie!
A good shot tends to be the hardest for me
😂
7 foot put turning
My hardest golf shot is golf in general, not gonna lie. 😅😊
Fairway bunker from 50+ yards.
The downhill chip! I shank it 7 out of 10 times! 😖
1: Tee shot
2: approach shot
3: chip (cuz I always miss the green)
4: putt
5: putt (cuz I left the first putt 8 ft short)
My top 5 ! 😎🇺🇸🤟😂
😂
My experience, throughout the years, is that the toughest shot is usually the next one🙂
Truth! 🤙🏻
Pressure plays practice Patriarch’s poor patience performance, Powerful Petunia!!!
The hardest shot I find is a pulled or pushed drive that dribbles down a side hill lie just short of the water!
I was out of breath listening to all of that. Good job explaining every detail but what was the barimetric preassure?
How about a fairway wood shot out of a fairway bunker?
Hardest Shot: The rock-hard, undressed, and deliberately compacted greenside bunkers during The Rona when courses decided to remove the rakes for our "safety." It was like hitting off of a cart path. I would have putted most of those if I had to do it over again.
🫵😎👍 my hardest always first one 😱
#1 green side bunker with water behind the flag
Tough with all that wind too. Where the heck did you find a 9 wood? hahaha.
WITB?
What's in the bag. 😊
I would have layed up on the last one
Hardest golf shot for me is that 40-80 yard sand shot to the green
Gabby be like, nobody would ever hit it here! Oh yeah, hold my Gatorade... 😂
Can you do a video on how to keep your head on the ball the longest possible…..
I find my hardest shot is the 2 foot par putt
Buried ball in thick roughs can be excruciating pain in the neck shots for me. 😂
this kid is hilarious, kicking sand on top of the ball with her foot 🤣
