I recently tried the anejo while traveling in southern Florida and was really impressed with it. Then while home in New York I had to have my local store special order for me but I found the repo nearby and was equally impressed. They are both now staples in my fairly broad Tequilla collection.

Great review! I really enjoy making margaritas with Reposado tequila and will definitely be trying this one out. I’ve used Herradura and Espolòn so far but the price point of this bottle is really attractive.

I get this for $21 delivered with my groceries from Amazon Fresh. How can you beat this for the price ??? For $63, I do like Tequila Ocho Reposado, or $46 El Tesoro Reposada for a more premium flavor. Thanks mucho for the review.

Have you ever tried Cimarron tequila? Their reposado is incredible. It is only around $25 for a bottle where I live, and it easily beats other brands I have tried that cost several times as much..
Yes, Cimarron is a great mixer.. a little too rough for sipping but a good budget option if people don't mind the roughness..

Is Olmeca and Olmeca Altos the same? As a few years ago in Vietnam I got a bottle of Olmeca and shared it with my Vietnamese friends at a rock club. As I recall the bottles were close, but again it was a few years ago, maybe closer to five. Rock music and tequila were really good that night.
They are not the same. Olmeca is mixto. Olmeca Altos is 100% agave.

Tried the Añejo yesterday. There's no way it could've been aged 18 months..
Why do you say that? I haven't had the anejo yet but I am wondering how you came to that conclusion?
I recently picked up the anejo while traveling in southern Florida and was pleasantly surprised with the taste, and felt the price was quite reasonable. I had no reason to doubt it could be ages 18 months. I’m a fan of the anejo and the reposado.

Not a favorite but lots of good ones. Carrera 54 high proof blanco is amazing and only $60. Other reslly good brands ste El Luchador, 123 organic, G4, Viva Mexico, Alma De Jaguar, Purasangre, Artenom Selecion, el tesoro, Tapatio, batch NueveUno, Calle 23 and more .
Now 4 years later and 36.99 a bottle in VA

If you put this up against Herradura reposado which would you choose? I like Herradura as my cigar sipping go to but thinking of trying this tomorrow.
I would pick Altos over Herradura. I'm a big cigar fan but I don't have any of these with my cigars. There are better options out there like Viva Mexico Anejo or 123 Organic 2 Reposado or 3 anejo.

Leave the salt and line out. You don't need it with good tequila. just sip in a glass neat.. You'll get all of the great flavors!

How do you compare it to their Anejo? Or even compared to a brand like Tres Agaves?
It was when I tried it last. I don't compare this and really don't drink it. I prefer others to it.

What ever way you like best. its different for everyone.
I’ve heard some influencers refer to this brand as additive-free. I’ve checked tequila matchmaker and it doesn’t specify so I’m wondering if you have any knowledge on this?
They do not use additives so the "influencers" are correct. It's just not great juice. It's good if you want to be cheap but really, spend a few bucks more and you can get a lot better.

I got the plata/Blanco, I really like it, if I suck on a lime after a shot I can't even tell it's booze, goes down like water, everyone says this brand has vanilla smell but I don't smell it, I kinda think it's a conspiracy against me everyone going yeah vanilla
But I'm in Canada a bottle isn't $25 it's $50 lol, we pay out the nose for booze, but I prefer buying booze over wine or beer because 100% of the profit goes back to the province, Instead of evil private corporations like if you buy wine or beer, if the province is going to pay for my liver transplant in 30 years they might as well be the ones taking my monies, lol
I don't remember seeing the risperado however it's spelt on the shelves, I'll have to look for it next time, unless I want to go with a more expensive tequila they also had a brand for $65 and a brand for $100, but I wanted to keep it $50 or under last time I was there
But I'm curious if the $100 bottle is actually worth the price increase, but if I'm going to spend $100 I almost rather not get booze, and get a $100 bottle of balsamic vinegar, I got one before and I loved it, I tried a moderna basalmic before that comes in the round bottle, I got to try a tulip shaped bottle from the other region next, I forget the regions name, but it's great on everything, pizza, steak, vanilla ice cream, French bread, it's only a 100ml bottle but lasts a while because the spout is so small, so little comes out per pour, but it's almost like a wine, I found it taste better after it breathed for a bit

Whats the difference between the dark and the light altos. Which makes you more drunk
They both will make you equally drunk. One is a blanco (not aged) and the dark is aged in wood barrels.

I tried the reposado and aside from the vanilla, which is most likely an additive, there is no real character. Not that bad for a budget tequila, and I will enjoy the bottle. Do you think or know if the vanilla is an additive?
I do not detect additives in altos.

As I said not a bad tequila for the price. Your videos have made me become more serious about the tequila I drink and when I want to try something new, I do check out your videos and follow your suggestions for a good tequila.

I’ve been drinking whiskey for years and just started getting into tequila. I feel like whiskey ruined tequila for me. This Tequila tastes more like water than anything else.
I came from Whiskey too.. You have to start with the right tequilas. This is a budget brand..

Take their anejo, in a large beer glass, put 2-3 ounces of the anejo and fill the glass with root beer.... You will thank me later.
