you are only human!! We all feel like that sometimes, treat yourself with grace and love and allow yourself to have days that aren't so great sometimes. I think teen years are the most challenging!!! (I have a 18yr old son and a 17yr old step son) It's ok to let them fail sometimes,,,it's ok to let them make mistakes--it's how they learn! And just like you said,,,sometimes they make the same mistakes over and over. But they will get it,,we did and we turned out ok! Lots of gentle hugs to you. LOVE your channel, I started following about 2-3yrs or so...I'm an older teacher (I'll be 47 this year) and love that I stumbled upon your channel because all the other channels that I found were much younger teachers--and they are amazing, but sometimes it's great to find someone that is closer in age to you. Tina, I was a single mother of a teenage son and also had bad periods with him but after many sleepless nights he turned out to be a good young man. I am always complimented on his manners and compassion towards others. You are such a wonderful mother and he will remember those lessons taught by you. It will pass. Sadly, as a young kid and teenager, I know that I broke my mom's heart on a few occasions. As you said, I never meant to do it, it wasn't something I was planning to do, but I did and she admitted to me years later that there were a couple of times that she went to bed crying. I'm sorry that you had a bad day, or days and hope that it is only better from here on out and that God is on your side, through the good and the bad (though, at times, it may not feel like it). We all love you and are here to support you!

Isn’t this just like teaching? You have the best laid plans, the greatest lesson and intentions going on and WHAM!!! The students don’t follow our “plans”!! From a fellow teacher. We reflect, we cry, we hurt for them, and then they scrape their knees despite our best efforts. We fall and we get back up. Hugs. It doesn’t negate all of the positive. You will get back on track and off and on again...so it goes.
Yep! Life has both kinds of days! It is encouraging to hear a sweet lady like you admit it. I was going along nicely, then I injured my back. I knew from experience that it was going to be a while before I could me wonderfully mobile again. I cried the ugly cry and said some ugly words along with a giant serving of self pity. After accepting the situation, I've been trying to make the best of it by engaging in sit down activities I don't get around to often. I'm reading a good book. I'm watching this video and others. I'm looking forward to seeing that cute room! Thanks for being real!

Tina, Hello from Australia. This video really touched my heart. I am the mother of a 23 year old. His teenage years were ok but at times we butted heads. But today I am so proud of the man that he has become. He is the most loving, sensitive and warm natured human being, that I think the world of ( yes I am balling my eyes out while I write this). Times do get better let him know you love him and that you are there for him. Hang in there girl. Sending you and AJ a virtual hug from across the miles.
I would watch a video like this over a video preaching about choosing happiness any day of the week because it's real and I can relate.
