Honestly as a exibiton leader I thought it was a very good show and the spinning was spot on very good job guy! As a team you could use some work but overall very good!
I am part of an exhibition team, and seeing that one guy drop the weapon he probably felt like he let his teammates down. That's all I would be thinking if I dropped the gun during a competition or performance. Cause they take alot of points of for that
NJROTC is not authorized to wear BDUs. Especially during an exhibition. Arm bands are not in regulations neither are the weird tank tops they are wearing.
@@jordansbear To be fair, NJROTC has no official utility uniform, and they are phasing out the working khakis, so issuing BDUs isn't too bad of an offense.
Wow that was amazing. I was on High School trick rife drill team back in the 1970s,, but we weren't that advance,, good for you guys. Well done!!!!!!!!
Im so jelly of you guys, not of the routine (even though it was great) but of the fact that you guys can move around that much and just have fun with it in my unit in Anaheim we must stand still and still wow the audience. Our four man, which im a part of, gets it done but if we moved this much the crowd would go absolutely bonkers. Also if we drop a rifle we are shunned and made fun of but it seems like you guys actually get a bunch of support. Good routine guys loved the solos
yeah it is for fun, but our commander doesn't think so unfortunately and yeah it is obvious you put it a LOT of practice loved it anyway. Make me wish i could continue doing it.
I'm not surprised he dropped it. I just feel like they were all spinning for the sake of spinning. Honestly if I was on the front row I would have been nervous the entire time.
You must be new to the military drill world. As was already stated, these M1903 replica Daisy Drill Rifles weigh just over 8lbs. The standard for M1s and 1903s is 8.5lbs, the standard for the M14 is 10.2lbs and the standard for color guard (marching band) rifles is around 2lbs. Sometimes a "real" rifle is demilitarized so badly it then weighs more and is probably unbalanced as well. My post on the various drill rifles explains this and more, you may find it interesting.
its high school man, i dont see the big deal about the little stuff. you can obviously see we put a lot of practice in even if there are a few messy parts. plus it was just for fun so whatevs.
i like our rifles better than the one you guys are using we have the repurposed m1's and the black sentetics like yalls the m1's are heavier but they are alot more comfortable good job
It's silly not to pick up your own rifle. This is XD (exhibition drill). XD is all about the performance and not some thought-up rule. There isn't a single manual anywhere (unless it's local) that states the team needs to freeze, the performance needs to stop and everyone needs to stare at your commander while he/she picks up the dropped rifle and return it to its owner. 13.2 lbs?! Our practice rifles are light and weigh like 5lbs. Those I can spin. But our heavy ones are seven (eight) point something and heavy as fuck to me! You are amazing! XD
actually, i have a full ride through the navy to get my degree for aerospace engineereing. after which i plan to fly soooooo nope no pizza parlor. unless im eating there...
That's because drops are really not the performance killers so many people think they are. Drillmaster The Drillmaster dot (org) 20 years retired USAF 17+ years honor guard Drill team, honor guard and Driller trainer
Those look like the ones that weigh 13.2 pounds. Our drill rifles at my high school weigh 11.7 pounds. Our practice rifles look like those and their 13.2 pounds. My least favorite to spin, me being a small girl.
Cody Kennedy I know, I'm on a drill team myself, but I think it's a safe assumption considering the vibe given off from these guys. With their skills I would also assume they must've got a bit cocky and could've used a bit more practice
BroadSword141 In The Flesh as am I! But you are correct. They do need some sharpening up. Maybe if they slowed down the movements and added more definition, it would look better
Ya john jay is pretty good. But my drill team could really have at it with them. I just wish I could post our videos but cant😓 but ya I like john jays style to
Honestly as a exibiton leader I thought it was a very good show and the spinning was spot on very good job guy! As a team you could use some work but overall very good!
I agree they did awesome!!!😅
I know they feel on top of the world, wish my JROTC Exhibition Was that impressive
You mean outstanding
At least you have one 🙁
I am part of an exhibition team, and seeing that one guy drop the weapon he probably felt like he let his teammates down. That's all I would be thinking if I dropped the gun during a competition or performance. Cause they take alot of points of for that
I suddenly feel like our exhibition team is total crap...
ethan cocke k😶
It is...
Even this team isn't great they're sloppy 😂🤷♂️
If you think this team is good your teams probably trash just like this one
They are actually sloppy
why did you guys have camo for NJROTC I want camo lol

Dang I was looking forward to seeing what that guy was going to do. Too bad he dropped
OMG I WISH PEOPLE IN RAMONA CAN BE THAT GOOD! AND NATHAN WILSON YOU ARE A BEAST!
No this routine was our 5 best spinners working together. Who is this?
Good job
I give props to the nathan guy. he's the one who caught my eye. got a lot of well thought out tricks in his solo.
Cmon guys that was pretty top notch! gg no re

just reminiscing on the good ole times. this routine was fun. sadly no more armed drill for just about everyone on this team.
I swear they are awesome
I'm not surprised he dropped it. I just feel like they were all spinning for the sake of spinning. Honestly if I was on the front row I would have been nervous the entire time.
"Please welcome the D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DRILL TEAAAM!"
When I was on the JROTC Boys Drill Team back in the late 80's our riffles weigh a mere 9 ibs...are those lighter, looks it! Nice drill!
The ones that my JROTC unit use, are the same weight. They are 9 lbs as well.
Oh man its been awhile since i've seen the nutcracker!
yay:) this was a long time ago but thank you! i actually made up a couple of the short bits in there. its cool to have someone notice
The last two cadets who did a solo were decent. Most of my schools drill/exhibition team members can do what they did.
bro this is great!
Only if my school had respect for jrotc like this school does
Same
Opps, nevermind. I read the comments lol ^-^. Well, you guys are very good. Keep up the good work!
One guy dropped his rifle, but no one cared because the performance was so great
I'm going to show my cadets this video as a show of definitely what not to do.
Any springfield 1903A3 drill rifle weighs in between 8.5 to 9 pounds. On a rare occasion (daisy) they will weigh 9.5 to 10 pounds.

Why do people assume because they handle the rifles like they weigh nothing that they weigh nothing... It's called strength and bearing...
the da da da da da DRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLL TEEEEAAAAAMMM
Y'all did amazing!! Do u mind of I show this to my drill team?
This is absolutely perfect.
How much do those rifles weigh?
yep our band's "COLORGUARD" thinks our rifles don't way as much as their toys. they have no idea on how heavy the 8.6 pound daisys are really.
its high school man, i dont see the big deal about the little stuff. you can obviously see we put a lot of practice in even if there are a few messy parts. plus it was just for fun so whatevs.

I feel like shit now lol
What type of rifles are you using?
WOW THE HAWAIIAN PUNCH
That's easy....
"they have tape around their wrists" hahahahha
was this part of your routine in UCLA this year?
Theyre good individuals but not as a team they have that its only "me" out their and not my team

Damn if my sch can be like their standard it will be a miracle
Definitely better than the ones here
dude i hate to be the guy who drops the rifle

Why are they using 2 pound rifles? They should be using 10 pounds.
@chipsahoyman1 im the one on the far left, my name is nathan wilson and i live in ramona. kinda just ruined you comment:)
To me the first 3 looked unconfortable with the rifle.
10 pound we actually weighed them lol with full action bolt its 10 pounds
they are 8.75 lbs..
1:02 MOVE OUT THE WAY!!!!!!
Drops rifle😂
Wonder how many pushups he got.
Angelika Sunie a hell of a lot I'm sure, if anything he got a lot of shit for it
BroadSword141 In The Flesh drops are quite common and not frowned upon or punishable.

im sure its 8.9 pounds
yea.... thats a lie. lol they weigh around 9 lbs. just because im a beast and could throw it 30 feet in the air doesnt mean you have to be jealous:)
Their exhibition drill rifles weigh like 2 pounds. Try doing that with a 8 pound springfield drill rifle.
me like
Im not gonna lie that really wasnt hat good. The only one that was decent was the last guy that did exhibition solo that was it
ñ.
not at all :)
This wasnt good. Look up John jay and/or Brandeis. Not even a competition
Ya john jay is pretty good. But my drill team could really have at it with them. I just wish I could post our videos but cant😓 but ya I like john jays style to
I don't think their solos were that good ether.
i just wasted my time watching this crap that i can do it better then they did.....smh
Camaro Owner no you can't lol
