    Social organizations of Jamshedpur were honored on the 37th anniversary of Voluntary Blood Donors Association Jamshedpur. Tata Motors was honoured for maximum blood donation at the VBDA Annual Function cum Award Distribution Ceremony held at Michael John Auditorium, at the same time, Anand Marg Universal Relief Team Global Jamshedpur was also honored.
    Tata Workers Union committee members Gyan Ranjan Prasad, Rakesh Kumar, Ravindra Kumar, Sameer Sarkar and Sunil Anand were felicitated. Apart from this, 304 organizations including Tata Steel, Tata workers, Teamken, UCIL, Tata Power, LIC were felicitated. Many schools and other institutions of the city are involved. Apart from this, other organizations that donated blood were also honored.
    Jamshedpur Blood Bank Chairperson Ruchi Narayan, who was present at the program, said that honoring blood donation organizations increases their enthusiasm. She said that we should donate blood, there is no harm in doing so.
    Along with this, the secretary of the organization, Kamal Kumar Ghosh, gave information about the activities of the organization. During this, he told that the organization organized 359 blood donation camps in 2023-24 and collected 33371 units of blood. At the same time, a target has been set to collect 35 thousand units of blood in 2024-25. Along with this, people are made aware by the organization and especially the youth are motivated to donate blood. Along with this, many training camps were organized by the organization for the NSS program officer. He told that on the guidelines of Jharkhand AIDS Control Society, VBDA branch has been opened in 16 districts of Jharkhand so far. Representatives of the organizations present in the program said. Along with this, they are also working in Bihar, Odisha and Assam. He told that every month 950 thalassemia patients have to donate blood in the district. For this, Thalassemia Society is going to be formed under the leadership of Sharat Chandran.
    During this time, Nalini Ramamurthy, Chandreshwar Khan, Sunil Mukherjee, Indrajit Paul, Kamal Kumar Ghosh, Pradeep Ghoshal, SK Singh, Sanjay Chaudhary of Blood Bank, President and General Secretary of Tata Motors Workers Union and other leaders were present.
