Non-musical person here, what are the difference between a 6 string and an 8 string guitar? What are the differences in the way you play them, seeing that you find it weird to play a sad song on an 8 string, why is that?

(This version) The person has arrived like 5 years later, party life is over, no more money, fake friends are gone, involuntary cold turkey is happening, binging on alcohol, because the coke is too expensive. The person is desperately hanging on to the former lifestyle, but kind of learning that he can not keep living this life, because it will destroy itself. Emphasized by the by the long outdrawn "Uptown Funk" a desperate cry for happier times rings out over the shore the person is reminiscing on, realizing that the colors have not changed into, ... but always have been a deep gray. Great work on the perspective switch guys. I just love the masterful reinterpretation.
