I am knitting an Icelandic hat currently and just about to start the chart and that basket will be perfect! I never even thought of using the holes to keep the yarn from getting separated! Thank you!
I am storing my crochet hooks that I am using in a ziplock bag and the yarn as well. I also store extra crochet hooks in storage containers and pencil boxes.
I have a storage solution to add, I found some plastic ziplock type bags at the Family Dollar, for a dollar. They are big and will fit several skeins of yarn. You just lay or sit on them to push the air out and seal them for a bug/dust free storage idea.
Love the folders! The pocket will help holding the yarn band, so I know what yarn I bought for that project!!!! My memory stinks as I get older..... LOL Love the basket with the holes idea.... would have been handy for my sweater!
I use a lot of your ideas and I even use the basket with holes to put wooden dials through and put ribbon rolls on them and pull through the holes, love your podcast

Toothbrush holder, head slap. I was looking for pencil casese (small) so I could put in a project bag a few things like knitting needles yarn and pattern (little self made kits). Then just grab a project bag when I want a project, not knowing exactly what I put in it a month later so I could get to all of those one day projects done. Toothbrush holders will absolutely save my DPNS from poking out or bending or breaking. YOU ARE BRILLIANT thank you for seeing outside the box for me EDIT I'll finish watching this when I get home, I gotta go to dollar tree right now. And maybe harbor freight they have cool stuff too
I loved the toothbrush container and with the zipped folder you could also put a picture of the foto in the zip part with your needles so you can see at a glance what project it is.
I am trying very hard to reduce my plastic consumption but I'm now planning to run out to $ Tree. The tiny zip lock bags would be perfect for tiny amounts of leftover sock yarn. I plan to label them with the name of the finished sock and needle size. . That way if I ever need to repair a sock I'll be able to quicky find the matching yarn. I am a happy knitter because I have found your channel!

Loved the plastic basket, however I have three cats that would help themselves to it! Just to let you kmow. I do use the snack bags for hooks and knitting needles.
I like the Dollar Tree's large, zipper storage bags. They're great for traveling with smaller to medium sized projects, and will protect them from spills, damp weather, etc. I also use them for storing yarn for specific projects for longer periods of time, avoiding the "wandering skein syndrome", where that 1 last skein that you knew you had disappears mysteriously. 🤔 It's happened to us all at one time or another, usually with color matched skeins.
@@HappeeKnits, the bags I'm referring to are the equivalent of the "Ziploc brand, Large storage bags". They hold at least 3 gallons. They also have a grab handle at the top, above the "zipper". You'll find them near the other closet, and shelf storage items.

I don't know if these were just around Dollar Trees back when it was back to school time but pencil pouches also make great storage containers you can either sort hooks small projects or like you were saying with the toothbrush containers knitting needles and cables also if you get the ones with the three-ring binder punches you can store it in a binder with other project ideas
I *NEVER* thought of getting those 7 day pill reminders from the Dollar Tree when I purchased almost the same exact storage containers from my local hobby store. The ones from there also don't have tops on each container. I could have bought so many more containers for the same price I paid. I am a person with many different crafts I like to do. So, I bought the containers I mentioned above for storing beads. Will hopefully be able to get the ones from Dollar Tree because I do need lots more of them. I have a set of Furls Odyssey hooks that I think the toothbrush holders would work great for. My daughter works at Dollar Tree, I think I'm going to have to tell her to grab me a package so I can check the sizing. This would be great if they work because those fancy holders they have for sale are insanely expensive and the little boxes aren't very practical for taking with you. I'll let you know how it works.

I've been using the Toothbrush Holders for years, I thought of it because I purchased a very expensive wooden crochet hook and felt that I needed to take extra precautions in storing my investment! I even used some crochet thread and created a cover for it instead of just seeing it in a plastic container! Thanks for sharing and good to see you but I surely missed Jordan also! Great ideas! I have 2 of the totes with holes I keep my projects in. They are great to just set on the floor and knit/crochet from. I like to keep all my hooks in a zippered cosmetic bag that I can just toss in my tote bag. That way I have all the sizes together and ready for whatever size hook I need at the time. I went to Dollar Store today, found this colorful pill container that turned out to be perfect for my stitch markers and I’m able to use the container color for the color stitch marker. Thank you again for the idea. I have a photo but can’t figure out how to insert it.

You can write on the toothbrush holder with a permanent marker as well too.
I have a lot of medication bottles, so I used some to store stitch markers and yarn needles.
I use Tupperware for my stitchmarkers, the lids never come off & you can find Tupperware in a thrift store.
The pill case for progress keepers, stitch markers, etc is brilliant. TFS
