That Butterick pattern with the play suit and the detachable skirt kills me. I drool over it every time I look at patterns. It’s not practical for my life, so I won’t make it. But I will scream with excitement if you make it 😍
You can bone any well fitting bodice to make it more supportive. The keys are to use spiral steel bones or synthetic whalebone and not the plastic rigline. I found the easiest way to learn about corsets was to make an Elizabethan one and Drea makes a free custom pattern generator. Corsets should have a gap of 2-4 inches. Shorter corsets are normally only laced top down or bottom up but longer corsets can be laced with two laces which allows for more customization for your body. Which is why those kind often have a quick release opening. So someone can try lacing both top to middle and middle to bottom, top to middle and bottom to middle, middle to top and middle to bottom, bottom to middle and middle to top. Each of these lacing styles feel different and you should use the one that is most comfortable for you.
Summer patterns make me wish summer lasted forever - such cute stuff!
Sameee! Thank you!

❤Thank you for sharing. I love the pants pattern; don’t know how I didn’t buy that one.
Looking forward to seeing the finished products. 😊
Thanks for watching!
Lots of choices, eager to see the results ❤
Thank you!!
I just got s9956 and love it but the instructions are confusing. Can you do a video about making the shorts following the instructions??
Hey - funny you should ask, I just picked up some fabric for this. I'll put a poll up in my community tab so that others can vote.
Madalynne has a corset pattern that’s her own pattern if you want to try to make a corset.
thanks for the info!
I miss pattern hauls. I have a ton in storage.
Me too, on both fronts.😅
