you recommend using 40 pound test for tuna? What if the line is too heavy, will a smaller fish not bite?

for this trip you needed to use 40 pound test line. Sometimes you have to use much lighter line like 20 pound. It's always different.

If im fishing Yellowtail on a dropper loop can I use an ugly stik tiger rod rated 15-40lb line? 65lb braid 25lb fluro?

for dropper loop fishing there no need to use floro, just use 30 pound mono.

Please do a full day video as you have done in the past and focus on the catches, tackle, baits, and techniques of lures and rigging of baits and lures. Good luck and you should try it in Monterey bay California sometime through Chris fishing and whale watching.

Also is fifty pound mono. overkill for rockfish and also we go for salmon and other species with those rods.

Last thing, what is the best live bait or freshly killed bait for rockfish and lingcod and is catching mackerel, squid, sardines, and anchovies right before leaving the dock for the trip a good idea and if so how to keep them alive longer.
