If you work in the public arena, you will serve the people, all of the people or find another line of work where you do not serve the public. This law will not withstand SCOTUS.

Concerning children and the kingdom of God, and the proclamations of the LDS Church about children in gay marriages:
"But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'"
No matter how we are treated by one another or our institutions or society, the arms of Jesus, and the gates of His Kingdom, are always open wide.

+Timothy Conrad, Children of gay parents will not be hindered by this policy, but will be blessed by it. Consider the tendency of parents to abdicate spiritual responsibility of their children to the church. This policy adds a kindly meant pressure on homosexually active parents to be the spiritual exemplars of their children. It also allows for the fruition of an abiding parent-child relationship as a consequence of this responsibility, which will do more to sanctify parents and children and bring them to Jesus than a different approach would do. The time will come when gay parents will express gratitude for these God-sent prophets and the inspired policies of this church. John 7:16-17. God bless.

+Timothy Conrad Not according to the Mormons. Elder Christofferson announced a few days ago that Jesus has decided that certain babies are not worthy of His one true church's blessing. That free pass for children to the kingdom of God...it's been revoked.

+Malignus68 Hello, some may be misled by your statement. There is no such doctrine in this church and I would be interested in knowing your source. If you are interested in what the church actually teaches regarding children I recommend the following talk by the late Boyd K Packer: www.lds.org/general-conference/2002/04/children?lang=eng after you listen to that talk I suggest a prayerful reading of: www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/moro/8?lang=eng

My source is Elder Christofferson himself. Watch the interview with Elder Christofferson, posted four days ago on this channel. In the first minute of the interview, he says this policy is entirely motivated by the way Jesus wants people to be treated. If that's not doctrine, I don't know what is.

I'll stick to what Jesus thinks about my children. The love we share cannot be overcome by the pronouncements of any religion or institution.

why not just say it's because of the commandments of God and His long standing true instructions in righteousness??? I thought you believe in the need to keep the commandments of God and Jesus Christ?

Now we know the total hypocrisy behind this statement.

What??? You speak of being "fair to everyone" while denying LITTLE CHILDREN, who the Savior invited to "come unto me," normal membership rights simply because they are the children of gay couples legally married under the laws of the land.
