I love Battra, I consider him one of the best and most complex kaiju and enemies of Godzilla. I wish he would appear more often, in movies (although in comics and books luckily he appeared more frequently). I hope to see him in the MosterVerse, I want him to appear.
Battra needs to be in the Monsterverse. He's always been one of my favorites, and seeing him in a similar fashion to KOTM's Mothra would be a dream come true.
You know, I don’t see why many people consider Battra a villain, he was able to redeem himself to join forces with Mothra to take on Godzilla (who was the antagonist of the movie he appeared in) and he was does care about the Earth (just not the people who live on it)
He is a anti villain, he has intentions of wiping out all humans from the face of the earth which is a villainous act by itself. However doing it with the mindset of protecting the earth is a understandable mindset at best. Essentially he has the mindset of Thanos, willing to do something that is deemed villainous for the sake of a good deed. Both mothra and battra have the same goal but just have different ways of wanting to achieve said goal. Godzilla is a earth protector too sure, but unlike battra godzilla ain't going out of his way to wipe out all humans. Thus it makes battra the more antagonistic of the 2 antagonist. Godzilla is just a shoehorned antagonist added into the movie to make the 2 moths team up. Battra woke up because it a approaching meteorite and mothra woke up because of battra's awakening. Godzilla just woke up because a piece of said meteorite happened to land on him.
It's true, the words of that verse almost seem to recall the situation and state of mind of Battra, wounded and in agony who is treated by Mothra and understands that he was wrong to live in evil and hatred. In fact, I was moved by that part of the AMV.

If only mothra were this strong on King of the monsters such a shame legendary does not use her full capability as a queen. Likewise the movie is 100 times better than endgame.

He's an anti hero, he views humans as an infection and wants to destroy all of humanity and all they've built to preserve the earth, unlike mothra who sees humanity as a good thing even though they can be destructive.
funny enough they could of brought him back with the Rebirth of Mothra series of films since well Battra is just another species of Mothra and the Rebirth in the title could of meant him. so yea in my opinion wasted opportunity to bring back the Black Mothra Battra.
