One of the culprits behind the Horizon scandal has a seat on the Co- op board. Says a lot about their ethical standards.

It's a little awkward to get to.... Most of the hotels are huddled closer to Manchester city centre... ..Look good getting their and getting back too

It's become an embarrassment and laughable. Such bad management. They should just keep it closed until ever issue and glitch they have is resolved, rather than cancelling events at the last moment.

What..? You can't power a Peter Kay gig.. one man on a stage... what makes you think you can power actual bands... With electric instruments.. 😂

Err, that's a really silly question, and here's why. The in-house sound system would still require the same amount of wattage for one artist as it would several band members. A band's instruments are just amplified backline, via the in-house PA system. The lighting for the show would also need the same wattage as that for a band, and it's mostly LED lighting these days, which is a blessing for Artists while on stage as it doesn't create heat. Then there's everything else in the venue that uses lots and lots of energy, like the coolers in bars and restaurants, outdoor lighting, heating, security equipment, office space etc. Your average guitar amplifier is around 50w-100w. The same as an old fashioned lightbulb. Electronic instruments hardly use any energy. 15w-30w max these days, if that. Some instruments can be powered from a USB port on a laptop.

This arena will not be ready for another month. The management are complicit in over promising, and delivering little. Hopefully, once it is fully completed, the bad memories of the first few weeks will begin to fade.

Looks like they spent about £10 of the £365M on the outside appearance. No award winning design showing there

What a sad world we live in. Look at the comments here. Something new comes to the city, people’s instant reaction is to piss all over it. You’ll still end up going…
