College is no different from school, just some added freedom cause you are living on your own. Having this false hope that college administration (or here, unity) is far far better than school is very saddening when you actually join an IIT. Yes, the students become your family cause you are with them 24/7. Its the same as boarding schools, thats it, not much. Edit: I was from the batch 2015-2019 CSE ,its like 4years since I passed, and honestly, I miss so little. Yes, i got a lot of friends, but I dont miss them cause we are still in touch and we all are doing good for ourselves. The basic problem with our education system is that teachers try to conceal their ignorance with anger ,misbehaviour and lack of patience . This kills a student's interest and ability to ask questions and thus we end up with generations after generations of innovation-less labourers....Students will start learning only when teachers have the patience to listen and encourage students to speak by being intent listeners. Teachers should always remember that they are ones whom and whose ideologies students actually mimic and reiterate all through their lives...

College is no different from school, just some added freedom cause you are living on your own. Having this false hope that college administration (or here, unity) is far far better than school is very saddening when you actually join an IIT. Yes, the students become your family cause you are with them 24/7. Its the same as boarding schools, thats it, not much.
Edit: I was from the batch 2015-2019 CSE ,its like 4years since I passed, and honestly, I miss so little. Yes, i got a lot of friends, but I dont miss them cause we are still in touch and we all are doing good for ourselves. College was very harsh on our psyche, so is office but at least we are getting paid well for it unlike college :)

The guy behind me was putting paper inside the hoodie so i turned back and scolded him. My teacher saw me and assumed I was joking so she said, "Stop joking. Are you a Joker?" It was her constant judgmental assumptions that she made in front of the whole class that made us students hate her. I fired back with a harsh tone saying the guy behind me was the one joking, not me. She threatened me by saying that I will be in trouble and she took out all her anger on me during the Parent Teachers Meeting. Everyone was anticipating my story of what I faced when I met her. Ahh. Good old school days. 😂

Humans are not person-x,y,...in isolation . If it was case, every human would be abandoned from the time of birth to fend for themselves as is case with few offsprings in animal kingdom. We are fortunate in human world there are god like parents, family, caring teachers and extended cultural and civil fabric that sustains us way into the 20's- an age which exceeds lifetime of many animals. And even by that time, the generous society we had grown up with still does not impose pressure to leave house and go away (as do some birds after chicks have been fed for a few months). So when we realize the truth that we are a group species, we see isolation is fatal. With this understanding, most of the individualistic insecurity, ego, separatism- all seem to be our own ignorance. Yes it is good to have dreams, personal goals and some private wishes. but when it is taken far, we go against something that is our social and cultural binding to the community we live in.
