I've been watching seriously waiting for the dangerous part to come.. Then I saw the transformer and I felt like in a movie waiting for monsters and smoke to come around unexpectedly. That's a pure horror movie, great producer!
Hey @RJ EDIT ALL, amazing video!! But I'm having some trouble trying to understand the circuit. You get 220VAC transform it to 24VAC, rectifies it to 24VDC, reduces ripple with the capacitor, right so far? Then you split the DC in two resistors. One of 2.2k to provide the energy to the voltmeter circuit, and another with 3.3k where the probe and sense wire of meter is connected, reading 40VDC. Now... when you connect the LED why does the voltage drops to the exactly LED's voltage and not fry it (40VDC)?
One other important thing. This puts up to 40 volts and up to 12 milliamps through the LEDs or whatever it's connected to. The current and voltage might exceed the maximum for the LED or component being tested, and overheat and damage it. The power in the component could be as much as 120 milliwatts, which could cause damage to a small LED. The maximum reverse voltage on most LEDs is 5 volts, and 40 volts far exceeds this maximum.
Very nice build. For it to be more usable in my opinion, would be to change Transformer to one that is very small, so this Tool would be easy to carry from Job to Job. Can you find a very small Transformer that would replace this very large Transformer? I really like this Electronic Circuit. It just needs to be shrunken down a lot. Please do another video showing your up-to-date circuit build, if you don't mind doing it again. Maybe you could add a Tuning circuit for very fine adjustments for Current and Voltage.
This is just a simplified version of the video using a multimeter to measure the voltages. Same exact concept though. But just one question though; what were you doing or trying to show when you pointed to the smaller resistor and then you changed it out? I wasn't clear on the purpose of that. Why didn't you just solder the value you needed into the circuit before ever even powering it up?
He needs to learn how to solder. This circuit is a fire hazard. It should have a 1/4 amp fuse in the mains power. The transformer is too big and it came from an expensive equipment that no longer works after the transformer is removed. It would be better to use a 'wall wart' adapter that has a thermal fuse protection inside. Thanks for the video.
You put a bridge rectifier on a transformer with a voltmeter. You seriously need to learn how to solder. Cold solder joints everywhere. Use more heat on the joint. Make a good mechanical connection first. Then heat the joint till solder flows.
This is very good, I did it, I liked it, I also subscribed, but this device does not work on normal lamps and DC motors, and it shows the number 0, which is a short circuit. Do you have any ideas for these two?
Kardeşim bir ricada bulunacam invertör için sinüs dalga üreten modül entegre üzerinde yaparsanız cok iyi olur herkes kare dalga yapıyor şimdiden kolay gelsin
HOW did you obtain exactly 40.0 V with a 12+12 transformer? After filtrating the AC current, the DC voltage raises only 34 volt, and the capacitor value is small, just 220 microfarad...
Soo..., I give up. Is it the alligator clip, the soldering iron, or the gizmo you are building? Which is the most useful?

No damage led for Rasistor, output current mili ampere. My transformer output voltage 30v , volt increase for capacitor, thank you
@@RJEDITALL if the out put is milli amp then why use 24v 3A transformer. Any 24V 500ma small transformer will do?
