I've been doing this, using "liquid lead" (not really lead, more like glue, and thick,) and coloring it with resin on silicone sheets. then peel them off and apply them to tiles or glass and resin over them. Really fun.
If you're someone who's been on the fence about joining the members group, join it! It is so worth it! The things I've learned from the wonderful people in that group is invaluable! (I think I used that word correctly. Haha) the comradery is so nice and the kindness is amazing. You will learn a loooot or just enjoy seeing all the amazing art! Come be a party of an amazing community! Steve is even really active there! He chimes in all the time on posts so you have convienient access to his expertise. I cannot say enough good thing about the group. Just do it!
I am planning to do this technique in my workshop. I am replacing all of the old windows with acrylic panels and will be making a resin picture on each of them. Wish me luck lol 😂😊
Great idea! You're so great in how you show just enough of the detail process, then move along. I know all the recording and editing is time consuming and just want to say how much I appreciate the effort you put in not only to demonstrate well but also to present in a compact way so busy crafters have time to watch. Have a wonderful New Year, Steve.
Hi Steve, I hope you're having a lovely Christmas? This is beautiful and very clever. I must give it a try. It's like a stain glass window - lovely, thank you for sharing it with us. Take care, xx❤❤😊😊
Beautiful, and I was thinking that if you used Fran’s Little windows suction cups to make holes in resin you could put a chain through them and hang it in a window.
Nice project, Steve. Maybe you were having a good day with your tremors, but I didn't see any evidence of them in the outline, so the product self-smooths too. Either way, thank you for sharing! (My fine motor skills aren't the best either, so I look for forgiving products and tools.)
Very cool! .. off topic but, Wondering if you have tried roto casting resincrete? So it's hollow? And adding stones or cork into it to weigh it down or lighten it?

Looks amazing Steve, I love stained glass. I do hope you're all having a lovely holiday season. ❤
I am definitely going to try this. We had a stained glass window in the house I grew up in, and this brings back memories of a better time.

I just got the jDiction UV light and I love that it’s bigger than the one by Let’s Resin. I love this awesome idea!
That’s coool resin. I have some clear uv resin that wont cure at all if I mix in the littlest bit of color in it.
Beautiful, and I was thinking that if you used Fran’s Little windows suction cups to make holes in resin you could put a chain through them and hang it in a window.
could you do the colored uv resin with the resincrete over it?
Does it have a really strong smell?😊
❤
I need to access the members more
Steve, where did you get the mold from?
It came out beautiful!❤
❤😉

I haven’t tried that, but in definitely going to give it a go. Thanks for asking 😀
@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts looking forward to seeing those experiments. Just for the money saving possibilities
Won't the cured uv resin leave Mark's on the silicone mold??
🥰
Very pretty
