This is a very nice video about HACS frontend options. Thank you so much! These where so clearly explained and I really like your accent :). I hope you will continue to make videos about HA!
Ah so glad that I already use two of the 5 suggested HACS front-end cards, namely mini graph card and mini media player and glad to add the swipe navigation to that. The only gripe I have with Lovelace currently is how it decides how your cards should display when viewing HA on a large display - all over the place. On a mobile phone, they all display under each other in the way that you organised them which is great, but there is really no easy way to to arrange your cards when viewing on your PC or large tablet. I hope that you'll do a video one day on how to do exactly that with the precision of where the card should go as well as the ability to set the width / height of the card. The solutions currently have their flaws and I cannot seem to get this right. Again, thanks for the vid.
Hey Glen. Thanks for your feedback :) I do have a dashboards video planned which might be of interest to you. I will get round to it eventually :) There was also a project in the works for bringing drag and drop placement to HA but I think it’s currently on hold.
Love your videos mate. Your topic selection for making these videos is amazing. Please keep up the good work, learning a lot from your videos. Amount of effort that goes into making these videos is always underrated.
Hi Mark, I liked your video tutorial. As a novice I have relied on your informative HA videos on many occassions. Thankyou. I get most of it but I have a question about the mini media player ? I see you use Amazon Alexia media palyers, can you tell me if the same works for Google home please. 😀
I get a warning: "After the download completes, since you are not using Lovelace in storage mode you need to manually add the resource with these settings:". I dug into a big and I see you can run in storage/UI controlled mode or YAML mode.. Can you explain how this all works and the pros and cons in a vid? Sure I proceed or address this error before moving on? thanks!
I just discovered I can run Home Assistant on a virtual machine in my QNAP NAS, so I'm obviously very new to Home Assistant. I find your videos very helpful. When I search for front ends in HACS, I'm not given an option to install, I'm given an option to download repository. Is this basically the same thing? Is there something more I need to do after downloading the repository? Thanks.
How do you manage having Swipe Navigation and Swipe Card at the same time? Or you simply don't. I am not sure if it was mentioned on the video and I missed it.
Great video! Been playing around with Hacs a lot and also with the massive selection of icons. Is there any difference between having an icon as hass: or mdi: ?
Thank you :) If I’m correct they are the same and can be used interchangeably. There just different lists. The mdi ones might have newer icons which you can look at on the material designs icons page. Cheers.
Another awesome video, man… I see you use Alexa a lot for media player things. Is the same process available for playing things through an Apple TV hooked up to a Soundsystem or TV for example?
Hey Federico. I will add it to the code linked in the video already when I get a sec. in the mean time if you want it, check out my Alexa TTS video (i think the code is in the description of that video)
very good content, thanks for sharing! The only downside is the amount of Ads that are put in. Do you have control about that? 2 Ads would be ok for a video like that. 7 are too much!
Heya :) Thank you for the feedback! Wowza yeah that is a lot! I will have a look at the settings to see if it is something I can control. I usually just upload with a template so the videos all get the same format. I don’t see the adds so it’s not something I was aware of. Thanks for letting me know. I will have a look at changing it. Can’t fix it if I don’t know 😁
thank you for this great video, I was able to add the mini-graph-card and use it to display my bandwidth usage as well as speedtest results. What I am having trouble using it for is like your example showing the CPU usage, processor temp etc. I don't seem to have those entities to add to the card. I am running Home Assistant on a Raspberry PI 4 so I don't know if that makes a difference. Is there an add on I need or something else to get to that data?
Hey Ayanes. Glad you found it helpful. You will need to add system monitor to your config. Check out : www.home-assistant.io/integrations/systemmonitor/ That will allow you to view the bits for your Pi. Give me a shout if you need any help. Cheers.
Are you aware of a way or a card that allows you to add tags or variables for things like the title, text, emoji or color background so these thins can be conditionally changed? For example with the banner card if I did some NAS data can I change the background to Red from whatever the normal color is if there is an issue like an update available or a drive issue?
Ok Mark, I just saw your video and it was great. I appreciate the content and the video showing these new cards. I'm still new to Home Assistant and getting my feet wet. Your last HACS card was for the "Banner Card" I first downloaded the "Extended Banner Card" and went back later to download the "Banner Card" which one is in your opinion better?
Hey Luis. There is always a risk with adding any third party bits to your HA install. But the HA devz are constantly improving and working on security and often any components with vulnerabilities etc are quickly patched and reported by the awesome HA community. I have done a couple of security announcement videos if your interested in any previous HA issues and talk about vulnerabilities and HACS safety. Just be careful where you are adding custom repos from and what scripts and code you copy. Stability wise the components are generally pretty solid and most of the owners update there bits to stay in line with the latest version of HA. Cheers :)
Is it possible that the Swipe Navigation FRONTEND only works on IOS? It seems to work just fine on an old iPhone I have, but doesn't work on my current Android.
for some reason, I don't get the the option to add the card to lovelace, it was installed but it's not showing up in lovelace. any ideas is to why this is happening?
If only someone would make a useful guide for the mini-climate-card. It's great, but the documentation sucks. I'd still recommend it for a video, but know that going in

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the vide and my voice 😂. Plenty more to come.
Superb job showing how to get the most out of HACS, next level presentation. Appreciate the effort and time. Thanks
Much appreciated! thank you for the feedback :D

Thanks, fun coming back and looking at this. Wow so much has changed, and looking forward to the September 2022 coming changes
It’s so different 😄. Lot’s of great new things in the latest release
As always an effective and clear professional fascinating just more and more
Always amazing video...very useful and very clear. I think you are one of the best youtuber a out HA.
Wow thanks Luca. Appreciate it :)
What a nice grate job. Thank you very much Sir. Best tutorial on HA Cards found on TH-cam. Will check more of your videos.
Thank you! Theres a follow to this video with another 5 HACS too :)
Very well done. Lots of good info in this video and thanks for sharing.
Tremendous video !!, Thks.
Thanks dude 😁

Really appreciate that :D
Thank you for the support! I have a follow up to this video and I also have more planned!
Great video! - I really need some kind of custom collapsible card. Do you know where to find this?
Good job. Thank you.
Thank you :)
Cube effect is actually wicked for graphs with 4 entities and different measurements ..
Is there a way to show Grafana graphs in Lovelace (something lice with MiniGraphCard but with the many functions of Grafana)?
Hi Mark, I liked your video tutorial. As a novice I have relied on your informative HA videos on many occassions. Thankyou. I get most of it but I have a question about the mini media player ? I see you use Amazon Alexia media palyers, can you tell me if the same works for Google home please. 😀
Goad to have been helpful.
With Google home it’s a lot easier :) but yeah you can use the same setup with Google and Sonoff devices etc
I get a warning: "After the download completes, since you are not using Lovelace in storage mode you need to manually add the resource with these settings:". I nedded the mobile swipe :D Nice.

Great video, thanks for this. I'm the creator of Swipe Navigation and, if you don't mind, I'll add your settings tutorial to the readme.
Thanks for creating it Ryan! Keep up the awesome work 👌🏻😄. And no problem 😄
Very helpful video. Thanks
I also created a 5 More video with another 5 useful HACs cards :)
Love from India. Again. ❤️
🙏🏻❤️
The Swipe Nav and Swipe Card was NOT a good combo at first :D However, changing the swipe_amount to about 70-80 solved it for me :)
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 its changed a bit since the video.
I really like the banner card
Me too! such a great card :)

Hey Derek. The Apple TV has its own integration which you can utilise for controlling it with HA. (hope that helps)
Great info, thanks 😃
Glad it was helpful! :)
Love the banner cards, but I can't get local background images to display...Anyone know what the URl would be?
Awesome Tutorial. Can you please share the code of the alexa player with the tts (as it is at 05:49) ? just love it!
Hey Federico. I will add it to the code linked in the video already when I get a sec. in the mean time if you want it, check out my Alexa TTS video (i think the code is in the description of that video)
Can a threshold with color code be set on this one for like network card in mini graph? If yes then please help we with some guide that I can follow.
Great video!! Can you help with integration with youtube music?
Great Video, as always. Is it possible to use other cards other than the custom:mini-graph-card?
Thanks Peter :) What do you mean use other cards?
from your list .... I'm not aware of 2 cards (2 -swipe cards ) thanks for it
Hope you found it useful :)

Any idea why the downloaded cards in HACS aren't showing up in my Lovelace dashboard Add Card section?
Try clear your browser cache :)

Hi ! Do you think HACS are stable and secure enough?

@@MarkWattTech thanks 🫂!!
What about doing a video about how to reduce the actual size of the DB and "Keep It Short and Simple"??
aaaaand what if its not just in the menu that pops up with the add card button lol?
Clear your browser cache and it should appear 🙂
Is it possible that the Swipe Navigation FRONTEND only works on IOS? It seems to work just fine on an old iPhone I have, but doesn't work on my current Android.
Hi Mark, thanks for the video but I tried the first Mini Graph card and I can't find it under add new card?
All good got it sorted
@@GENhodgy1971 nice one. Glad you sorted it 👍🏻
I have the same problem. I installed mini graph card and I cannot find it under add new card. How did you solve this?
i have installed 2 frontend in hacs but it docent show up wen I try to ad card wy?
Sounds like a browser cache issue. Clear your cache and it should appear.
I couldn't get the custom graph to display my CPU temp. Is there any more to this?
Hey Peter.
Have you got System Monitor setup?
Check out : www.home-assistant.io/integrations/systemmonitor/
@@MarkWattTech I have not. That will be why. Thanks mate.
Wicked :) There's a few other handy bits in the System Monitor too :)
Why I have error HACS frontend when loading the mini-media-card, button-card and a few more cards stated Not Loaded?
Try clearing your browser cache :)
for some reason, I don't get the the option to add the card to lovelace, it was installed but it's not showing up in lovelace. any ideas is to why this is happening?
Sound like it could be a browser cache issue. Try clear your browser cache and it should show up :)
@@MarkWattTech yes, it seems that was it, thank you so much, have a nice day!
what if I dont have that custom mini graph card appearing in lovelace options?
Try clearing your browser cache if you have installed it. It should then appear :)
@@MarkWattTech it gives the option to clear. I pushed the button, reloads, nothing happens...
@@redlingg press Ctrl + F5. Then check the list. If its still not there give HA a reboot and double check it added without any errors.
@@MarkWattTech maybe the portainer installation is the problem....?
I don't see the banner card after installing it in HACS frontend.
Sounds like a browser cache issue. Try clearing your cache and it should appear :)
Ok, you defiantly buried the lead. All of those are meh except the last one. Thanks for that one. :)
If only someone would make a useful guide for the mini-climate-card. It's great, but the documentation sucks. I'd still recommend it for a video, but know that going in
still waiting on your room assistant video...........
Needs updating with the latest HA update - this video is not relevant at all
Wrong, I just enjoyed looking for a high speed use of the swipe card. Worth noting that this video is referenced on the GitHub
