      Yeah if you ever need a CD repaired this machine is the way to go.

    I always wanted such a machine when i was a 6-7 year old child because i listened to cds all the time and some of them where scratched so they didn't play properly anymore. I once got a cheap plastic thing that should have removed scratches with a hand crank but it didn't work

      Skipping may not be caused by scratches, unless it's very scratched. Usually the parity or data copy is picked up sp it matches the original, you need more scratches than you think to actually affect the reading integrity

    Normally also use polishing compound too. The actual sanding is limited, and using extra fine discs. The scratch resistant means the data are stored in what is called parity, meaning if part of the data is unreadable, either it can be reconstructuednotlr there is a copy of it. They are quite resistant to the data loss, so it can still be lossless. Even though with just audio, you might not hear much change , especially because of that parity.

    Check your local library’s mine has one that can do 56 discs at a time 🤯 it’s huge
    And only charge $1 a disc it made badly I mean BADLY cds look new
