I own a 2020 army green TRD Pro Sequoia. I love it. I have four kids 11 to 17 and I took them with me to get an oil change and tire rotate at the local dealership prior to going to the movies. To kill some time we jumped into a brand new Sequoia and took it for a test drive. I had no intention of buying it but asked my kids (2 boys & 2 girls) what they thought and should we trade in our Sequoia for the new one. All four of my kids say NO WAY! First, it is smaller than the 2nd gen Sequoia. The roof line is shorter so my 17 year old son was maybe an inch from hitting his head on the roof in the back. The 2nd gen is much taller. They all agreed the seats were no way near as comfortable. They also noticed the engine as my youngest son said, "It sounds pansy". That dual TRD exhaust on the Sequoia is awesome with it's V8. That turbo sounds...pansy. Anyway, as the Dad I much preferred the older sequoia and the mpg is exactly the same. My 2020 gets 15 city and this 2024 I was test driving got 15 city mpg as well.
I would totally buy it just to own it as my daily driver. I take long trips from home and this is great for storing all your goodies, preps, water, emergency food, for long trips.
@@andyleo8418 It’s okay. It was 2 months ago and no guarantee of a complete engine replacement. Still no mention if they will replace the 3.4 TT Hybrid engines.
If there is an issue with them they will. And the longer they take to decide the better, the ideal situation is to drive 40 to 100k miles then get a new engine under warranty.
I do remember watching the TFL off-road review on this, there clearance isn't great. So if you did want to go off-road with this it isn't ideal. But if you want to have a bad ass looking SUV and that is what you care about, then yeah.
The price difference between the grand highlander and the sequoia is the hardest to justify. Both full size three row suvs but the platinum to platinum is like a 20K difference??? just don't get it even through I much prefer the sequoia.

The new Sequoia is just a glorified Highlander.

Everyday brother 🤘🏼, thank you for your continued engagement
Finally some Sequoia videos. Hopefully you do more of them and maybe some sales number videos.
Headliner black? Nice 👍🏻

You could even sleep inside it.
Will the engine have to be replaced as well?
I love it
I’m going to be in the market for a 2025 sequoia or a grand highlander if I decide sequoia I will go with the platinum or the capstone
I owned a 2023 Sequoia Platinum and it was a great SUV. Traded it in for a 2024 4Runner because didn’t want to deal with the engine issue.
You could have gotten a brand new engine. Instead you took a hit on depreciation. Talk about a double whammy.

I wouldn't buy one to big for what I'd need. Definitely not pro but the Capstone if I had all kinds of money for the luxury.

Jealous! I love how the Sequoia Drives, I get to drive them when I gas up vehicles sometimes. It is awesome.
That rear wiper is already looking a bit sad😅
Trunk doesn’t have a flat floor that is just awful
For the price I would expect more 3rd row seating room and ground clearance for the trails.
Did it have any rattles or wind noise?
So far, so good. Ive driven it roughly 200 miles so far.

Love these SUV. Terra is a cool color.
Sits so low needs more ground clearance imo
My mom and dad just recently bought a venza limited this year is the last year there making them there being replaced with the crown signia
