Great video, before this it was a complete mystery. I just figured it was magic. Actually it is kind of magic, so many steps in the process and so many people involved. I am amazed the price is so low.
That's awesome. I never knew how it was done. I seriously thought my clothes were being cleaned without any liquid. Next time I'm in texas I need to give this place a try. Thanks for the video
I just sent two vintage Heavy Metal shirts that I bought at goodwil to get dry cleaned and I'm thankful that they do use some sort of liquid and washer for the dry cleaning process because it just wouldn't make sence trying to clean something in a dry way. I can wait to see how these shirts come out. It the first that Ive ever dry cleaned anything. Great video BTW!!!
I have a friend who used to run a dry cleaners back in the Perc. days. the tank that the used/filtered solvent is returning to at 2:49 is called the "make-up tank." The finishing machines called "no touch" in the video shown at 3:58 and in other places in the Vid., is / was called a "Suzy". anyway, he described the entire process to me, Very Interesting! BTW the Bar code tag system is awesome! my friend had to do it the old way. ( stapling a cloth tag to the garment, and write everything down on a "dry cleaning ticket" and try to keep track of it all.
The solvent is an aqueous solution, so they technically do go into water. It's just that the water has other things in it, as it's a homogeneous mixture.
No. That's totally incorrect. Technically or otherwise they do not go into any form of moisture and this solvent is not a homogeneous mixture. It's totally the opposite of that. Water and moisture are enemies of this solvent and if moisture does get into this solvent it will start a bacteria that you can literally smell a half a city block not to mention every piece of wool you clean will shrink to half the size it was. So, no there is not any water or moisture in this solvent. Been doing this almost 50 years now.
I work at Klinke Cleaners and they use the same machines. That shirt thing is for steaming it, but why didn't they press the collar? By the way the tag system is amazing!
+Al Sal from what my friend who used to run a dry cleaners told me, they were called a "Susie" at least that is what they called them back when he worked dry cleaning.
It depends what/how many pieces you’re having cleaned. 2pc suits around me, northeast are typically around $17-25, 3pc suits are just a little more- coats are around the same $15-20 and king bedding comforter/spread is $30-40.
Very good video but the perc is the best dry cleaners i work and I have the knowledge of everything from the chemical industry and for any type of stain and types of fabrics
They just leave the sleeves hanging like that. Wow, In St. Louis our sleeves are folded and pinned. Our collars are pressed to a crisp literally no wrinkles can be spotted. And I’m allergic to starch so this is using just perc. I guess I’ll keep going to my regular shop if this is the kind of professionalisms that’s displayed in this joke of a commercial
All those poor misunderstood 100% cotton dress shirts that can be washed in cold water at home and hung dry and sprayed with downy de-wrinkle spray lol. Smh.

This is a good infomercial. Well narrated and directed.
Aweome video. SOmbody linked it on Reddit. Hello from a drycleaner from Russia.

That's awesome. I never knew how it was done. I seriously thought my clothes were being cleaned without any liquid. Next time I'm in texas I need to give this place a try. Thanks for the video
Many places outside of Texas have dry cleaning facilities /laundromat
I tht so too,I tht was a big thumbler but now I know what it entails Ans still surprise as such a low cost
Great video, and it shows a lot about how you can recycle, and how the dry cleaning business works.

I like they way they tell you indirectly, we don't use Perc but others in San Angelo do after they tell you Perc is bad. Lol
We’ve got Classic Cleaners here in Indy. It’s very similar to Holiday Cleaners and uses the exact same process
I have a friend who used to run a dry cleaners back in the Perc. days.

Lol... WOW!!! 👍👍
Does it cost more or less?
Dry cleaning is the process of removing soil and stains with solvent rather than water
What is the no touch pressing machine actually called? Interested in purchasing it.
+Al Sal from what my friend who used to run a dry cleaners told me, they were called a "Susie" at least that is what they called them back when he worked dry cleaning.
