That Niners game is still the best football game I've ever watched. With all due respect to the Bills-Chiefs and Allen-Mahomes, that was just a modern QB shootout. The Niners-Giants NFC Championship game in rain and mud was pure physical football as it was created, and decided by which team would blink first. The Niners blinked and turned the ball over. That was it. Eli was cold hard steel that day.
That game was such an old school slugfest. And it further cemented a great playoff rivalry with the 49ers. My favorite moment was Eli signaling timeout with his helmet shoved up into his nostrils lol.
Eli has given us some of the best moments as Giants fans and has always done it with dignity and class. Those two super bowl runs culminated by beating the greatest quarterback to ever lace them up twice is simply amazing. Eli wasn't always great, but when it counted most, nobody was better. Easily my favorite giant of all time.
Being younger seeing the giants do what they did, I didn’t realize the greatness I was witnessing, wish I could go back it was once in a lifetime thing to witness
Not every sports fan gets to experience the kind of ride we got to experience as Giants fans in 07 and 11. The underdog storyline, needing to win on the road multiple times just to have a shot, the david vs goliath battle between the Giants and the undefeated Patriots, arguably the greatest football team of all time, led by the greatest quarterback of all time, with also arguably the greatest wide receiver of all time and coached by who many deem the greatest coach of all time. The thrill of that whole ordeal, from week to week, game to game. It's something I'm incredibly grateful for, that I got to experience it and it's something I'll never forget and will take to the grave. Thank you, Eli and the all-time great rosters of those superbowl runs. I've had both his home and away jerseys framed on my wall for pretty much my entire adult life.
Eli is my favorite Giant..I am a big Giants fan. Ive followed many quarterbacks careers. He's my favorite..I just wish the Giants organization would have given him a better On-line. I can only imagine his stats
He’s a HOF QB. After he’s been gone a few years, it’s even clearer now. GREAT big game player and leader, showed up week in and week out. He was one of a kind. I think Eli would have three rings if Plax didn’t shoot his leg. I would put him in the HOF based on that San Francisco game alone. I’ve never seen a QB display that much guts, leadership, and courage.
Eli is my favorite Giant. It was Tiki barber and Strahan but im 35. And the happiest moments in my life as a sports fan came from him and Derek jeter. So he is a hall of famer and the best giant of all time not names LT
Truly tho Eli Manning's postseasons runs will forever be the greatest games by a New York Giant QB of all time and in 2025 , Eli Manning will be a HOFer i mean beating Tom Brady twice in the Super Bowl and one of those seasons the Patriots went 16-0
He’s the biggest “what if” to me as a Giants fan. I think he was a bonafide HOFer if he doesn’t get his career cut short. And maybe changes the trajectory of Eli’s back half of his career.
I have the h nicks picture of him catching the hail marry autograph and I have M. Manningham catching the clutch catch in the superbowl autograph, cost me a lot but it was welll worth it🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂go NY GIANTS
I was so mad giants made Tom leave as head coach a year early instead of doing it right and letting him find his replacement during his last year with us and we couldn’t even won another ring that year cause we went to playoffs that year Ben took over cause Tom made that team but Ben didn’t know how to run it right so we lost The game and locker room before that playoff game against Green Bay
@@shadow_kahn1187 Devito has the "IT" factor that all great athletes have. take a guy with talent like Jordan or LT and add the "IT" and you have the greatest of all time.but if id have to choose I'll take the "it" anytime over how high they can broad jump at the combine
Absolutely. Over the course of his career and particularly the regular season - with the exception of 2011 - he was never a dominant top 3 QB. Certainly he never had the advantage of having a truly great and dominant team during his career. To some extent that makes the super bowl runs more impressive but to your point, never really a truly dominant player.
Had a win% of 66(!) over his first 8 seasons, he was a better QB in his last 8 seasons than his first 8. Simple logic, backed by every metric and eye test. The team around him DIED on the back half. He was literally playing on a high school team. The game most exemplifying the back half of his career: 450 yards, 6TDs/0 Ints vs the saints.. lost 52-49. The year he threw 27 ints.. go back and watch them, 14 (FOUR-TEEN) were off the hands of his recievers.
@@yepdontcarebud The teams he played on in the beginning of his career weren't that great either. Other than 2008, he never had a team that was one of the most talented in the league.
Thanks for watching! Subscribe now for the latest Giants videos!
Bengals fan, but Eli is my favorite player of all time!!!

Dude was pure class and professionalism. Always gave us a chance.

My favorite athlete / sports figure of all time. That will never change.
This is a gift to a New York Giants fan. Wow this was awesome. Eli Manning was entertaining to watch win or lose.

Hakeem Nicks was such a great player man.

GO GIANTS !!!!!!
We need another Victor Cruz typa guy 🕺#80
Should still be playing here. We will NEVER have a QB like him again.

HAKEEM NICKS AND CRUZ WE HAD AN UNDERRARED RECEIVING CORE IN 2011.
where gunna be soo good in 3 years

Thank you Eli! He needs to be in the HOF. And please remove the Shockey highlight at the end, he was an Eli hater.

There r so many HOF members that dont belong and don’t even have anything close to his accomplishments or stats where is Eli’s jacket already???
I believe next year is his first year of eligibility. Believe you have to be 5 years removed from the league.
There’s no hope for this New York Giants team.
There is. Try being Devito a UDFA and rookie and winning 3 straight games
.500 QB....... 😅
